The good thing about it is that they they can upgrade to a 80 gig for about 60 bucks or a 120 gig for 75. I have the 60 gig version but I'm going to upgrade to a 120 gig or more sometime this year.
3G was obviously not a big deal for the guys that bought it early. It was for me so that's why I haven't got one yet. I have a BlackJack now and it's cool to be able to surf the web while you're on the phone. You can't do that on the iPhone from what I've heard so that's why I'm waiting. When the new ones come out with 3G then I'll definitely get one.
MS will have greater success in NA because of the sheer number of people who have a 360. Everywhere else the PS3 will have more success. I'll take world wide dominance over regional dominance any day.
I have Vista on one of my computers. It's not that Vista is a bad operating system, it' the fact that it's not really needed. It's a resource hog and I'm having a hard time getting some of my programs to work on it. You go though this every time you upgrade to a new OS. The problem is that there really isn't a reason to upgrade. Vista is not really better or faster at anything than XP and the requirements to get it run well is crazy. I'm not sure how long I'll keep it on my computer.
It's amazing to me that after seeing Uncharted and UT3 and hearing about the planned 60 players online for Resistance 2 that anyone would release a statement like this. I would be ashamed as a developer. What it really says is that they don't know how to program for the system.
I agree that the triggers for the 360 controller is better than the SIXAXIS but when you need to use the R1 and L1 on the 360 controller it feels awkward. The access to all the buttons on the SIXAXIS just feels right. As for the weight, I don't have a problem with the SIXAXIS. My hands seem to have less fatigue after extended play. I definitely prefer if more than the 360 controller.
Wow just reading this article lets you know how much power is in this system. I didn't know it had a dual-core primary processor. I though it was a single core plus the 7 SPE's.It's going to be crazy to see how games run when they use all the SPE's.
A coworker and I went by the Apple Store to find out more about the Air and when we saw the price was $1700 and $3000 and the performance was less than laptops costing $500 we were like what's the point. There is absolutely no reason to spend your money on this. Apple is bought more by designers and the designer industry but I don't see any of them buying this one.
Ive had mine little over a year. I have the 60 gig version and I'm very happy with it. If I need to upgrade the HDD it's no big deal. I don't mind paying $100 to $200 more for a years worth of playing. And believe me I played it all last year. It's the only system I have and the only one I want. If you have a 360 or a Wii then it was worth the wait.

Wow, they are getting awfully close to falling into the time frame of GTA4, MGS4 and other heavy hitters. I think it's a mistake if they can't get it out before April because they will probably get overlooked.

I don't really have a problem with that since I don't buy a lot of used games, mainly because it's a serious rip off. I think there should be a one year wait before it can be resold to a dealer. That gives companies time to make their money. Maybe a one year or 1 million copies sold. Which ever is first. I think that would work. I work in this field so I understand the amount of work that goes into making these games.

I played the first Fallout and hated it. Other than that I didn't even know there was a 3rd Fallout coming out and I know a lot of other people who doesn't even know the franchise. I find it hard to believe there is anyone who doesn't know about MGS4.
Still I'm looking forward to Fracture and any good JRPG.
Yeah that sounds like a hard drive. I've had enough of them fail on my computers to know that sound. It could be something else though. I say back up your HDD every once in a while. That way if it's out of warranty and it fails you can just replace it yourself then restore it and not send it back to Sony. I don't consider this a manufacturing error like the 360 though. It's just what HDD's do sometimes, they fail.
With everyone talking about waiting for the 360 version you do realize there is a good chance that there will be no user created content right? That's one of the best things about UT3. The setting doesn't make it look better it makes it look the way it's supposed to look. They just set it to the lowest common setting. They probably thought that most people that owned a HDTV at the time didn't have a high contrast ratio. That would be like them setting it to 1080p and making people reset to a lower resolution. I think it's great that they gave the option but they probably should have documented it better to let people know what it was.
I'm not sure what people are so upset about. Everyone with a PS3 has a HDD. Sure the devs shouldn't have to install 5 gig of stuff on the HDD but if they need to so that it runs better then let them do it. If you run out of disc space everyone knows how easy it is to install a new HDD in the PS3. We have the ability to self improve our PS3 to some degree. If this is becoming a trend we can modify accordingly. I think it's great.
