My question is how long will MS keep this up? This is their second system and they haven't made any money yet off of them. In fact they lost billions. Regardless of how deep MS pockets are, as a company you are not going to keep investing in something that loses money. Sony loses money on the fisrt year or two then makes their money back. Nintendo is the only company that makes money on their system from day one.
I heard from a guy at EB today that if you get the update it WILL remove Vick from the roster. If you want to keep Vick you can't play online because you must get the update to play.

My concern is that some developers will lesson the content on the PS3 so that the 360 owners won't feel cheated. Could it be that we will never see the full amount of planned content because they have to figure out how to get it to the 360? He already said he wants to stay away from requiring the hard drive because not everyone has a HDD on the 360. I definately think the original Ninja Gaiden and part 2 had some of the hardest bosses. I had to use the slow motion controller to beat the last two bosses in Part 2.

Then at the end the 360 is highlighted with an add to showing the 360 core. MS sponsors all the Madden challeges and stuff like that. The PS3 has 7 cores running at 3.2GHz. Say all you want about the graphics, but the statement about the A.I is a bunch of nonsense. They just don't want to take the time to learn the architecture, and that's fine but don't lie.
I'm not a Madden fan either. And like I've stated earlier, if the framerate issue is the same as it is on NCAA football it's not really an issue. My buddy and I had both systems together playing NCAA and you really can't tell. The 360 does SEEM slightly smoother but that's because we were looking for it. The Wii wouldn't be a bad choice for you but the problem is that the Wii doesn't have that many games for it either. It's just a cheaper investment.
From the list it looks like you will never get a PS3. And that's fine but I'm sure you're being a little unfair. Actually, can you give me 5 must have exclusives that are on the 360? The list is unrealistic because you wouldn't buy a 360 if you used this list either yet you already have one. Why would the PS3 have to do more than the 360 and cost less than the 360 to get you to buy it? That makes no sense.
We've had this discussion a hundered times. Each fan will find a way to justify buying they're system. Me, I like the Sony brand, the features and the games that comes with their system. Price had nothing to do with it. The 360 could have been $199, I would still buy the PS3, but that's just me personally. The next person would be different.
My question is, does the bad things they note about the game warrant the 5.5 average score? They liked the story, combat, and control,well they slammed the controls in the review then said they liked it in the podcast. Aren't those the most important elements to a game? The game could very well suck. It's entirely possible, but the reasons they give just don't justify the score. Please, tell me if I'm wrong.
How cost effective would it be to burn blu-ray discs anyway? I haven't checked the price of a burner and writable discs but it should be crazy expensive.
I have NCAA Football on the PS3 and I don't notice much choppiness. My friend has it on the 360 and he claims that it's very choppy. He's going to bring his 360 over so we can each play the other versions to see if there is a difference.
Eventually, and soon, MS will have a whole new system. People won't admit that MS dropped the ball and didn't plan very well for the future of gaming. They are going to put a HDDVD or Blu-Ray drive on the 360 next.
Until companies design games that separate functions like A.I. and physics for separate cores you probably won't need more that 2 cores for gaming. You would be better off spending that money on a videocard or 2. The biggest reason to have 4 cores is if you're into video/music production or into computer graphics or animation.
It's good to see that Autodesk is streamlining the tools I'm a 3D Max man myself but I may need to start using Maya more at my job. Maya can be a real pain sometimes so I'm excited to see the changes and some of the new character animation features.
I actually like EGM. I didn't realize how many people disliked them til the review for Lair came out. I must admit they did backpedal on the podcast and the reasons they gave didn't justify the score, but I hope they can get back on their feet.
