I don't have to read this article to tell you h@ll yes!! I had a SD TV for 5 months before I got my HDTV and there's no question it's a HUGE difference.

The article makes lot of sense. I do remember when Square left Nintendo to go to Sony. That happened because Square didn't think a cartridge based system would be good for what they were trying to do. As a company you must do whats best financially. The 360's lead over the PS3 is not like the lead the PS2 had over the Xbox. It would be worth it to have the games avaliable on both but I understand what the article's saying. I'm actually a little less irritated now.

First my problem with the 360 stems from it's reliability issues, but since my PS3 just died on me I guess I can't argue that anymore. Second, I have a strong hatred for Microsoft that's existed long before the XBox. I hate the business practices of MS and I'm afraid that they are going to try and monopolize the game industry like they have monopolized the OS market. Maybe it's unfounded but from what I've seen in this generation with them buying exclusives and doing whatever it takes to buy ...

Squaresoft was my favorite company. It was one of the few game companies I wanted to work for. Now that they are Square-Enix they have definitely lost some of their luster. Still, I don't blame them for wanting to make money. They're a business. What I have a problem with is that they claim to want to broaden the audience on their games, then they proceed to give exclusive games to MS. It would really be a waste of money for me buy a 360. I would be basically buying one just for the 2 or 3 RP...

Really guys is it that serious? I can understand if it was like Orange Box but this is ridiculous. So what the 360 version might look 5% better. You are getting more content and the same great game play. Give me that over graphics any day. The argument about graphics is only for fanboys to gloat about which system is superior. I'm personally sick of hearing about this. The publishers that port games over simply for profit and don't care about the quality deserves the criticism. It is apparent...

Actually this is a common practice for game companies. I'm a graphic artist/animator and I refuse to work for a game company because they work you like slaves then get rid of you when the project is finished. Not all companies practice this but a vast majority do. Getting a job on the cinematic team is the prime job with a low turnover.

I hope the 100+ hours are with the optional side quests. It's really hard for me to put more than 50 to 60 hours in a RPG right now with my busy schedule. I didn't beat Oblivion and I put about 60 hours in that. I will have to wait and take some vacation time to play this one.

That was wrong to have the article pulled. The 360 has more games rated 90% or more, it's fact. For anyone to cry and complain about it is just dumb. I only have a PS3 and it's by far my favorite console but I can't argue with the facts.

Honestly, at 100 hours of gameplay who cares about DLC? It's going to be hard enough finding time to play this game with the original content. I've already pushed it to 2009 before I can get it and even then I'm not sure. If you are a die-hard Fallout fan then this matters but if this is just one of the games on a list of games to play then extra DLC means shyte.

I agree with many of the points that the article makes. Games are too complicated. That's why the Wii is such a success. You have no idea how many people I talk to that say they bought the Wii because the other consoles are too complicated. Even friends I grew up playing games with say that. A long time ago, RPG's were the most time consuming genre and because they only came out 3 or 4 times a year it was great. You could balance that with other games. Now, every genre, even sports games, hav...

I'd put Socom on there before Saints Row. Also, what about Valkyria Chronicles? I only have so much free time so I plan on getting Disgaea 3, Valkyria Chronicle, Eternal Sonata, Resistance 3, and Little Big Planet. That should hold me well into the New Year. Ohhh!!!, I forgot about Fallout 3! I just might wait because that's going to be one looooong game. I'm not going to have enough time.

"Digital Rights Management." Software designed to prevent digital media from being copied. It's a hassle for people who own the authentic copy and it still doesn't prevent items from being copied. It's a joke.

I never said that I download or play pirated games. I only rarely play PC games. Sacred was the last game I played on PC and I paid for it. Diablo 3 will be the next I play and I will pay for that. I gave the statement as an example of how ineffective the DRM is yet it causes so much trouble for the people who paid for the game.

There should be some sort of legal action they could take if EA cancels their game account. Especially if they didn't violate anything. If you payed for the game they can't just do that without justification. What's funny in all this is that it took me only 2 minutes to find places where I can get the pirated version. So what's the point in putting the people who bought the game through all this?

6324d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

This is why I don't play many PC games. It's unfortunate that customers have to do this just to play games. What's funny is that I hear there's still pirated copies out there. I just hope that Diablo 3 doesn't have some outrageous DRM.

There used to be a huge difference in Macs and PCs about 10 years ago. If you wanted to create graphics or edit video you had to learn to use Macs. Most software companies like Adobe developed their software specifically for Macs. They eventually converted to PC's but the software was buggy and ran a lot slower. The Mac's OS was considered much more stable and the IBM processors they used were much faster than what Intel could produce on the PC. That was important for graphics programs. That'...

D@mn this sucks!! Why don't they just charge 49.99 or 44.99 for the 360 version and give everyone else the version they envisioned. It's stupid for PS3 owners and PC owners to lose content because of the 360. Unfortunately, I think this is going to become a trend.

I personally don't want the same old classes. I want to see new classes with new abilities. I guess having the basic class like barbarian ( which I love by the way) is a necessity but I hope they have some strong alternatives.

I'm definitely getting Eternal Sonata. I'm not a huge shooter fan so I'm not sure if I'll get Bioshock. I usually only own one shooter at a time and that will do me fine for 6 months or so. With Resistance 2 coming out I will probably wait for that one since I enjoyed the first game.

I for one don't consider myself a hardcore gamer or a casual gamer. I'm just a gamer. I've been plying since the Atari days. I play games that are interesting to me not games that are rated 8.0 or higher( Lair was one of my favorite games last year.) I use strategy guides whenever i feel the need and I'm not a fan of online play. I just have fun and I think it's stupid to try and categorize people because of their habits. That's what was great about gaming in the past. It has now become some ...
