The delay makes no sense to me either. We are not alone
The problem was that it was supposed to be the WiiU's game, it's special gem to be released in the Launch WIndow. Nintendo fans want games now, we don't want to wait for the end of 2013 before we get the influx of games. This decision crowds the last few months instead of having a gradual flow of games.
Stuff like this is why doom articles exist, people want games but no one is providing. I don't care about it going Multiplat, more people need to enjoy this game. But ...
Booting up the time machine now
The game really feels like a WiiU title (the type of game developers should be making for the WiiU). Being able to control your Character while managing streets and systems on the pad would be pretty ingenious. If you wanted to do two player one person could use the gamepro controller to move about a shoot while another person is in control of the environment, like the gamepad user is someone back at the base controlling from above.
Kirby's Epic Yarn received good praise, even won best visuals at E3 by a few sites. While the charm may not be as fresh, it should be just as endearing
Hopefully there will be some challenge to it, will be interesting to see what they do with it. Also adding specific Yoshi references like colored Yoshi's will be present. Should be one of those little gems
I can't imagine another console competing with Nintendo, MS, and Sony. Sure it will meet hobbies or casual gaming, but it will be a long time before you get high quality games with a small box
Release it for the WiiU. You have your asymmetrical gameplay/cell phone fantasy right there.
Man that was easy
This is honestly the only problem I have. Why not just release the WiiU version now and the ports later? It makes no sense to me. The WiiU deserves better
It was made by Suda51, what else would you expect? He's known for making over the top, quiky games. It's like saying Quinten Tarantino films should never be made because they're "tastless", or too gory. They fill a niche other films (in this case games) that few other developers make.
This game is just another example of Video Games as entertainment. Call of Duty or Rayman doesn't teach us about morality or life, what's wrong with this?
They stabbed Nintendo in the back.
Rayman Legends was made specifically for the WiiU for its Launch date. Now they're making it multiplat and delaying the WiiU's release to match the other consoles. This was supposed to be a shining moment for the WiiU, I shouldn't be surprised a 3rd party is turning its back on Nintendo. And this won't be the first time the WiiU gets the shaft, watch out for Watch Dogs to not be released for the WiiU by Ubisoft.
...
It really doesn't help when you have a company like Ubisoft push back the date on an amazing ex-exclusive to match the other consoles. Yeah, I'm talking about Rayman Legends. It was supposed to release on the WiiU in February. Now it's pushed back to September with the 360/PS3 for no reason.
It's hard to find good news these days, when every other company is turning their back
Ubisoft stabbed Nintendo in the back with this. It's one thing to make it multiplat (I have no problem with this, everyone should have the chance to play an amazing game) but to push back the release date on a finished game for no reason is beyond me. So much for the great partnership they hyped up. This game was supposed to be a shining light for the WiiU, now it's a fading glow. It's disgraceful if you ask me. Makes no sense
I can see this trend continuing wit...
I remember using the camera for the built-in games. I never owned it personally, but it was one of those little pieces of Nintendo and gaming history
Because to certain people a Gen is about power, not new gameplay concepts. Next-gen to them is Ultra PC level graphics, not updated current gen with a unique innovation. To the Wii it's a jump forward, but to the PS4 and Nextbox it's a leap back.
I just want amazing games for each console. Nintendo is going to find ways to max the console, most others aren't going to give it a chance. Some of us want different things in our games
So you're saying the $500-$600 investment for the PS3 paid off? Guess it really was an investment
It paid the price for Blu-ray and top-of-the-line console graphics, now it's time to reap the rewards. Feb 20th should be interesting (if it's what many of us are hoping/speculating)
"Don't miss anymore". We all know you did, admit it
(The Gamecube code for the condescending narrator was certainly one of the more quirky secrets)
My cousin only owned two games for his N64, Wave Race and Shadows of the Empire
Maybe they like men with steroid induced arms?
If publishers want to enforce a $2-$5 "used" fee then more power to them. Downright restricting used games on consoles is a bit overkill in the current age. Instead of banning these games they should be more proactive and begin to leech off used sales. If they are already saving $5-$10, how much pain would a few more added on be?
In short I'm much more favorable of small than drastic steps. It's the developers/publishers losing money on used sales, not the...
When have they not won Japan?
If you read my post all the way I could care less about it going multiplat, no good game should go unnoticed. But delaying the WiiU release from February to September makes little sense when it is already complete
