I have to disagree with the author. While some features are best when they come from the fans, Nintendo has thrived when they allow their amazing devs to fulfill their vision. Miyamoto has always made games based on his experiences and not on fan desires yet they've almost always been highly reverred.

If in the early stages of development of TLOU I'm sure plenty of people wouldn't have thought of making Ellie an important character, yet Naughty Dog knew they wante...

3rd parties are the reason Nintendo is so toxic. All but a few jumped on the casual/partygame/shovelware train with the Wii where only Nintendo was left producing high quality games.

3rd parties complain there's no core base for the WiiU when they've done nothing to help. EA is one of the worst offenders, most of these companies only like Nintendo when they can make a quick profit, the PS4 and X1 could sell porly yet they would get tons of great content. The sad truth...

As long as the WiiU can handle things like Open World environments and destructable environments on a wide scale then there shouldn't be anything to hold back a port besides profitability. If the WiiU can play BF4 with only a drop in FPS and some graphical cutbacks then it will have all the power I could want. It won't be PS4/X1 material, but in essence it would be the same game.

The WiiU has at least twice the power of the PS3 and not too long ago BF3 was regarded as...

Any reason to rewatch the trailer is a good one. I love these videos as well, great job once again

If your console gets tons of great 1st and 3rd party titles and lives for another cycle does it really matter if it wins or not? A lot of people say the Wii was a toy that only sold on a cheap gimmick yet with the amount of hours and great first party titles I got from the Wii it was totally worth it.

The gamepad can help sell the WiiU only if devs show it's worthwhile. Dual screens worked on the DS, so there is innovation to be had. Nintendo also needs to find some way ...

The concern with the WiiU is there is so much uncertainty. Will gamers give it a second chance when quality games come through? Can Nintendo sell the unique feature in the gamepad while effectively demonstrating the other benefits and games to consumers (there is stuff like TVii most probably don't know of).

There is always the possibility the WiiU flounders despite getting good 1st party titles. Also at what point is the install base large enough 3rd paties will invest i...

Great game overall, especially the singleplayer. Multiplayer wasn't as good as Reach, but for being their first major title it was an outstanding effort. Halo is one of the few bright spots I see with Xbox (my opinion).

Don't expect The Walking Dead:SI to go without a fight

Smash4 is a lot more appealing on the eyes. Brawl tried too hard to look "realistic", stages were a lot less vibrant and colorful (Delphino Island lacked the vibrancy it had in Sunshine). As to be expected Smash4 has better textures, lighting, more subtle details, better models as well (Bowser is my favorite so far)

It looks good while retaining that Nintendo charm. By not trying to meet the expectations of the generation it goes further

Is there a Razzies of the Video Game Industry? I'd like to see this game duke it out with the likes of The Walking Dead: SI.

It's seems every day Sony and Nintendo score another Indie game/victory. MS has had nothing but negative press on Indies for awhle now. When I transistion into Next-gen I will definitely need to check these games out.

They can improve it by allowing you to play offline. Forced to have Gold was dumb, can hardly call it part of the game when no eveyone can enjoy it

Demos can expose more than a Publisher may want us to know

4613d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Demos give you an idea if the game is good or not. Someone may learn a game doesn't handle as well as they assumed and won't buy it when they learn the truth. Or the demo satisfies their assumptions and gets them more hyped. Just because I played the demo of Dead Space (or any game, just an example) and didn't buy it doesn't mean the demo pushed me away, I just never had the intention to buy it.

Without more info on the study, the games, and procedures it'...

Letting people who don't have WiiU's try out upcoming games is a great promotion. While only 100 locations across 50 states doesn't give much leeway. when you take into account Nintendo was the only one doing this you can't really argue too much.

Supposedly they were pretty popular (at least the ones mentioned here) and while we can't say they were all new potential customers, maybe a few people think differently of the WiiU (or learned about it for the fi...
