IW hasn't innovated with CoD since MW1. MW2 was the peek of quality and ambition (particularly the multiplayer) and Treyarch just puts a slightly different spin on it
CoD is a solid franchise but nothing special as of late.
It's really awesome of Nintendo to aknowledge and give back to the Miiverse artist community with this. While it does cost money to get this App, Miiverse could be a launching platform for quite a few independent artists, or at least give them greater freedom of expression. This is the kind of stuff that makes Miiverse and the WiiU so great, born from the hardware inspiried from the community
The Anti-gravity is well done, you can't even tell you're upside down until you corkscrew back the other way.
If 3rd parties released an exclusive Killer App for the WiiU I'd buy it this instant. But when 3rd parties and even Nintendo don't put out something truly remarkable on the WiiU there is little incentive to invest. You don't see 3rd parties risk their new IP's on the WiiU, they go to Playstation and Xbox first then give Nintendo leftovers.
The only company I see who is really trying is Ubisoft. They put out AC3 on launch, made a new IP in ZombiU, are putting ...
The idea behind a "Director's Cut" is it includes things they weren't able to fit in the Original. Either stuff they wanted to do but didn't have the time/money, or new things they came up with since release.
Better graphics, more content, more intuitive inventory/menu system all leads to what should be a better product. At least that's what the math says.
"This is the reason why I will be joining you guys with the Nintendo 'Wii'"

Bayonetta sold about 1.5 million across two consoles, let's see of the WiiU can beat that
No single player leave it lacking for my tastes, just because it feels lazy. Multiplayer looks awesome, but multiplayer isn't risky like singleplayer
It's annoying when MLG hosts LoL matches, takes forever for recordings of matches to become available to the public
"Batman disgrees" *descends from above*
Pretty sure we shut them up.
MS was all like "DRM and used game fees are the future, everyone needs to be connected and follow our rules, #dealwithit" and we replied "No, we're not, because it's stupid and it's just a way to control us and make more money off of us. Watch us go to PS4 instead".
We rallied and threatened to put our money elsehwere, and they complied. I'm not hearing any push for DRM and fees from MS anymore...
Gamecube sold 20 million over 5 years. WiiU is 1/4 the way there and it hasn't been 12 months yet. You can bet Nintendo makes a profit on each WiiU alone, their games will sell 4 million on average at least. Also as long as their handheld business stay good, they will always have profit margins. Unless no one buys Nintendo games and all 3rd party abandons ship, Nintendo will live another cycle
I still don't get why it's so hard to make a good Sonic game, at least in terms of playability and flow. It's almost like they try too hard with story and certain gameplay elements.
I think this guy is putting too much emphasis on difficulty in his review, like if he played Dark Souls he'd give an abysmal review (not saying he would). I also get the idea he doesn't like Mario sidescrollers in general.
It's almost like he forgot the DLC is supposed to be fast paced and difficult by original design. I haven't played it so I can't judge too harshly, but sometimes you have to take the original intent of the DLC to heart. Not saying the...
I don't think a lot of people fully expected ME2 and Battlefront. Sure there were rumors and fan desire, but they surely were suprises at E3. They showed solid titles for throughout the year.
Nintendo specifically doesn't need a new IP, but I think I speak for most gamers when I say we want Miyamoto to make a new IP. It's been a long time since we saw him really bring out something new and unique. Every IP he brings out is a probe into his mind and childhood, it pains us a bit to see him not continue to branch out. In his mind he is branching out and his philosphy is that if he can fit changes into a current IP, he will.
The question is, does Nintendo real...
Full clarification on the battle system and difficulty levels (going more in-depth than the one I originally saw)

Don't worry, you can just sit there during the QTE's, they play themselves (confirmed by the devs)
If you like a game that plays itself (you don't have to do anything during the QTE's) then it will be good. Basically an interactive movie, I guess like Heavy Rain.
I'm wondering if there will be branching paths in 3DWorld, it looks like there are different areas of each level you can go to. If each level can feel like a world in itself I can see this game getting good reviews
Until I see complete level runs I will withold judgement. If it's a simple rehash of 3DLand I will be dissapointed, but if they can expand on the linear level concept into branching paths and more complicated level design I will view it more favorably. A pr...
Sonic Adventure 2, those were the days
