I think it looks great either way. The added color makes each character and environment piece more distinct and adds depth, where the extra sepia makes a lot of things kind of meld together and makes it look like and old movie. I think it was a missed opportunity to add extra visual options after beating the game, one of the additions I liked about Resident Evil 5.

The signs have been here for the past year, it's why they released the NEW 3DS in the first place. 3DS sales were great for about the first 3 years (after the price drop and everything) but then sales dipped below DS levels and hung there, now here we are.

While it's wasn't fair or acceptable for The Order to get the backlash it did over the past year, as a developer it can be immensely valuable to get vocal criticisms 6 months to a year from launch. Sure Developers have a set plan from the start of how they want their games to be (R@D wanted a cinematic, SP experience), but when people tell you the combat is a little stale, the pacing isn't quite right, there needs be more to do then it's a good idea to make sure those aspects ...

So what you're saying is, Sony has now released even fewer 1st party games for the PS4 and the one's they have are still mediocre. So yes, they aren't first party, yet they're still touted as being key Sony games, games only on PS4. Still doesn't hide the fact Sony hasn't stepped up enough when it comes to quality software.

Just about every review criticizes how much The Order holds your hand, how it forces you to walk and wait for QTE's to progress the story and gameplay. Basically to get to 7 hours of game time R@D had to purposely slow down the game, Instead of the player actively exploring the world and environment at their leisure. It doesn't help it's a linear experience, going somewhere the devs don't intend you to go leads to a dead end with little of interest.

After Amiibo I don't know if they're really selling well or just proportionate to what was released. The big question is who's buying them, old 3DS owners or new adopters.

I don't see Witcher 3, SKyrim, Xenoblade X, or Smash Bros, or a multitude of content packed games having to split up content into DLC to make a profit. These are big, open world RPG's, fighting games, and more with a tons of characters, modes, and maps being sold for $60 with hundreds of hours of gameplay. Heck Call of Duty doesn't go that far into day one bonus' and early DLC, it costs $60, has several modes including single-player, over a dozen maps on disc, and is the most ...

I can't wait until the Indie retro scene moves from 8-16 bit into early 3D platformer/adventure games. It's a dieing breed.

Hopefully each area will be substantial with its own singleplayer focus. Ash Lake and the Hollow were cool, but really just side attractions with a covenant at the end. I wish there was more to the Valley of Drakes and Kiln of 1st flame, they were cool areas but namely the Valley could have been more than just a long connector. I'm also hoping for a ton of connections between area. I know there is the hub zone in BB, but I like going from one area and winding up in others directly.

We spend too much effort trying to validate our game purchases with the right number. If we expect a game to be a 9.5 and it gets a 9 it's as if it got cheated from being in the pantheon of timeless games. Especially when you have some reviews being based on out of 5 which means half a point is a major metacritic deductions. Isn't labeling games as "avoid, recommend, and essential" a less judgmental than a number? It effectively does the same thing without having the debat...

Yep. They were in the other game even though there's no direct continuity. Plus you find them throughout the world and they sell you stuff.

The issue I see is while you need to outwardly acknowledge you are using Nintendo content and take a reduced profit from it, Nintendo gets to use your content anytime with no limitations on them, they can say they made it where you need to jump through hoops.

I don't think that's lawful or at the least honest, they're in turn doing what they're trying to stop. If Nintendo is paying you 60% for the video, you should own 60% of that video. And by having majorit...

I'm sure there's a bit of pride in their decision. They would be leaving their own consoles to die in order to hit a gold rush, selling their company soul to attract customers who have no brand loyalty. The Wii shows how just because you sell a ton of units and games it doesn't necessarily translate well into the future, you can't take things for granted.

Nintendo would have to work harder to justify selling cheap/freemium games on mobile versus pricey games o...

Most open world type games require you to appreciate and enjoy the atmosphere, combat, and environment. A third of these games is moving from one location to the next.

Took me 120 to beat the game and about 350-400 quests, 10 hours was easily running around accomplishing nothing, as in it was great just to see everything again and again.

Episode 5 is brutal. I remember playing it with some friends and we couldn't make it past the 3rd level, inside the bar.

O&S is my favorite Dark Souls boss (bosses that is). One of the more creative fights, one enemy or boss is enough multiple always adds to the tension, having to split them apart, find openings, and killing the last one super charged was the biggest accomplishment of the game aside from beating it.
