Been playing around with this and it's pretty cool, a great free service imo and it will only improve.
Remember that the game is still like 10 months from release, if you think it's close to the CGI render from GOW2 then imagine what another 8-9 months of tweaking and polishing will do.
Personally I like the GOW3 shots more than the GOW2 CGI shots but if anyone is unconvinced like yourself (and there's nothing wrong with that, either way the game looks amazing even at this point) then just remember how much development time is left.

The game looks like Gears, the art style seems to be pretty similar and the main character is a big hulking guy with a similar kind of body armor on top of being a TPS.
However from this year's E3 it seems they are trying to incorporate some gameplay mechanics to differentiate itself from Gears. Like everyone else I'd also labelled it as a Gears clone for the PS3 (which wouldn't be a bad thing, I thoroughly enjoy Gears 2) but with the info we got from E3 there might be other thin...

I don't think consoles do HL any justice. To me HL is a PC game and that is where I'd want to play it tbh, I own a PS3, 360 and a gaming PC and I have to say for a game like HL I'd be getting it for PC.
MS can rub it in the face of whoever they want but those kinda games just belong on PC and work better there imo.
Valve will claim to have some of the best people in the industry, including programmers.
Yet the PS3 which even some very small studios with probably less experienced prgrammers make games for the PS3 just fine.
Valve are either just lazy or have something against making games for the PS3 that obviously runs deeper than the console being "too complicated".

You know that part about the graphics was the only real part I disagreed with, I think they are confusing visual fidelity with art style. The art style is pretty much identical but the actual graphics are so much better than the PS2 games, you would actually need to be blind not to know this.

Yeah I know one or two Apple fanboys and they put the console war fanboys (Sony and MS ones) to shame when it comes to their single and closed minded dedication to that brand.
I honestly think that no matter what console you prefer or what type of game (genre or franchise, whatever) you prefer, E3 had something awesome for every taste which is why I think E3 this year was awesome. Last year it was kinda meh, there were a couple of things that looked cool but nothing on the scale of this year really.

Ripping off Helios' head isn't just gore for the sake of gore, if you've watched the video from E3 you'll know that there's a very good gameplay reason for ripping it off.
And as for you playing the game for the story, gore and brutality has always been a big part of God of War and Greek Mythology in general.
Some of us own both (PS3 and 360) yet still prefer one over the other.
Forza 3 looks good but I'll personally be waiting for GT5. The reason is personal preference.

Personally I think the concept of Project Natal is pretty cool, dunno if the Milo thing was faked or how "real" the press demos behind closed doors were but Natal is definitely an interesting concept as is Sony's motion controller.
Until they do something really cool with it for a game though I'll forget all about both, lol.
I've loved every GTA game except GT4, not because it was "held back" by 360 like some people say, I don't think the 360 could have "held back" the gameplay or story or had an effect on the way the game controlled or felt. I just felt GTA4 didn't click for me like every other game in that series.

It's really a great app and I was surprised that some of the music I searched for was actually already part of the library.
If they can expand the library on a regular basis then this will only continue to be a fantastic service.
I even found a couple of new songs and bands that I like.
