I think the XMB works great. I just think they should make it wuicker to load/use whilst there is a game running and have ALL features and options available to use when in game.
Other than that, it's an easy to use and uncluttered interface. The ability to create folders under the main headings of video/photos/music would be cool though.
I don't get excited or hyped for FW updates tbh. When Sony announced in game XMB, trophies and custom soundtracks I wa spumped and I love those features but until Sony tells me something awesome is being added I don't get hyped. I honestly don't understand the people that get hyped from rmours and then curse Sony for not delivering on rumour.

I generally don't like video game inspired movies but Uncharted, if done right could be a huge success because it's basically already a kind of story that people love with a protagonist that people already love. Drake is basically a young Indiana Jones.
If they can recreate the kind of great story from the first game (undoubtedly the 2nd game too) and get actors that portray the characters from the game well then they could have a serious hit on their hands.
Oh I'd love a new Onimusha game for 360/PS3. Hell I don't care if it's an exclusive because I'll be playing it.
I normally just go into Home when new a new game space or something is added, which isn't all that often in the EU version.
I'll start using it more when game launching is available in Home on the same day/week that game is actually released.
Home has so much potential that it hasn't got remotely close to realising and when it does, that will most likely be when I start to visit regularly.

If it is reasonably priced it would be awesome. However, given the ridiculous prices of the current HDD's it probably won't be reasonably priced at all.
Time will tell if this is both true and if MS have learned to not rape people with ridiculous prices for some of their accessories (HDD and Wi-Fi adapter).
They were definitely really nice additions but to say they are the most important news to come out of E3 is retarded. Not surprising really that it's someone like Pachter coming out with such utter nonsense.

The GT5 pics look absolutely amazing, truly amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on both GT5 and GT PSP but to the people that are having a hard time telling the difference between the game pics and the real life ones.....go get your eyes tested, seriously. Whilst the pics are amazing they are not indistinguishable from real life.

I think big releases like a Gears, Halo, Killzone, Resistance and Uncharted, games that magnitude should always have a beta to ensure a smooth release but it's good to see Epic are still supporting the game and ironing out any issues the game might have.
The only criticism anyone can really have is that there was no beta, maybe they'll have it with the next iteration of Gears and tbh they should have one.
Can't complain about continued support though.
Cross game invites and chat would be awesome but I don't expect them with this update.
I think the invites are an absolute MUST feature that needs added sooner rather than later. The cross game chat might be harder to implement purely because of resource (PSN is free) but cross game invites are something the service badly needs imo.
cross game chat I personally don't care about as much but it would be great to have the option, not to mention there are tons of people ...
Unless you don't have the money and/or time to play both games one after the other then I can't really understand your thinking behind that statement.
I like to play the games I want to play as and when I can tbh.
To each their own though, as long as you're not excluding yourself altogether from playing good games!
It is kind of annoying if I am downloading something from the PSN and want to play a game or watch a BR movie at the same time but I can live with it.
Most of the time I know what I want to download in advance and do it whilst doing something else. Like if I am watching TV I'll use my PSP and go download something from the store to my PS3 via remote play, which is simply awesome.
I own a PS3, 360 and PC. I've got both games (tho Prototype is on PC) and I have to say Prototype is indeed an entertaining game. For me though I prefer inFAMOUS simply because I enjoyed the story and gameplay elements a bit more. I hadn't even finished my first playthrough of inFAMOUS and was looking forward to my second. I don't feel like that with Prototype, although I'm not too far into the game so that may change.
