I think any core gamer that has LIVE doesn't even pay attention to things like facebook and twitter access.
360 core gamers pay their fee so they can play online and have some great community features. Now personally I don't like paying for LIVE, I do pay for it but that's just because I use my parent's Sky TV account to use the Sky player thus not having to pay for Sky Sports myself. They don't use Sky Go online so not really any inconvenience to them lo...
Digital only is nowhere close to ready for consoles right now. The main reason for that for me is pricing. The price of full retail games on PSN (I suspect XBL is the same, I never go into it on my 360 tbh) is ridiculous.
I realise the publishers set their prices and not Sony but until they start to sensibly price these things then digital only is a no go.
Steam does it right, it's a fantastic platform and service, I currently have 44 games on there and m...
They're likely going to be a good set of cans but I doubt they will be good enough to warrant the $300 price tag.
You could do a lot better with that money, though I understand that these are going to appeal to a fair number of people.
Yeah I don't care what place Sony or anyone else is in.
All I care about is that I have content and features to keep me entertained.
I have those and I'm happy and at the same time excited and looking forward to things like Cross Buy as I own the PS3 and Vita.
To me that really is some amazing value.
PS+ was something I bought on impulse while I was of work sick at one point because it had some good free stuff at that time and I thought it would get better over the course of the year.....and it did, very much so.
With that instant game collection I now own quite a few games I fancied playing but didn't want to pay up for or didn't have time to play/never got round to buying, this includes the upcoming Red D...
So much rage over time about this game for how Dante looks.
The way I see this is it's part of his origin story, the Dante that came before the one we fans of the game know and love.
When the game comes out I'll judge it on whether the gameplay and story is good and overall whether I had fun with/was entertained by it.
Oh and as for the opinion of IGN or any other site or which score they give the game (I put very little to no stock i...
The next batch of consoles are easily going to be improved in terms of technical specs so none of us need to worry there, though I doubt we'll be seeing many Uncharted quality games at 4k resolution. That 4k res will be more for video like Blu-Rays and photos I think. If it can do 1080p at 60FPS without breaking a sweat though that'd be great.
What I really want to be seeing, especially with the PS4 is features and software. I like the XMB but it needs improved, espe...
I think it'll be in Q1 of 2013 we see this released.
The reason I say that is I recall reading an article saying that the publisher can't meet it's fiscal year forecast without releasing the game as they either have no other real big releases or the ones they do have planned won't be enough to get them to that mark.
Whether it's true of course I couldn't say with 100% certainty but it certainly sounds reasonable to me.
Wow that makes me sad, I am a really big fan of the work that studio has done for many years now.
Best of luck to them, as someone facing unemployment myself at the moment for similar reasons I know exactly how they feel.
Not very good numbers, but I love my Vita and am seriously excited about the Cross-Buy stuff announced at Gamescom. I remember talking with my buddy before the system launched that it'd be awesome if there were bundle deals for the PS3 and Vita versions where you get both at a discount compared to buying each separate. Cross-Buy is just so much better.
Oh and looks like there's some awesome games on the way too.
Sony's failings have been marketing...
I'm not surprised to hear this to be honest.
I remember one Sony exec saying that they were going to maybe focus on a few less games and be able to market them better as they had so many games that spending the required amount to market them all was just not possible.
I can't remember if it was maybe Andrew House or Shuhei Yoshida or even Jack Tretton that said it but someone definitely did.
Skyrim was, sorry is an amazing game.
Picking one is insanely difficult but a stand out for me this gen has been God of War 3, simply because I am such a big fan of the previous games (and the genre in general) and just the sense of scale and how epic everything seemed whilst playing it.
Though this kind of thing will always be different no matter who you ask, I think though that it's just awesome that we've had so many awesome gaming experiences this generation with hopefully a lot more to come.
It was never good compared to PC's, at least in terms of tech and what the hardware was/is capable of. Same goes for any home console including the PS3, and I say that as a massive console gamer but also as a PC gamer.
As for people going on about prices of games, multi plat games are cheaper on PC, the only thing that has kind of annoyed me about publishers on PC lately is the PC version not releasing until like a month or so after the console version.

The dad needs to take more responsibility for this in not making sure his card details were used only for the LIVE subscription. I work for a very large UK bank and with credit cards people simply do not take enough responsibility for their own usage or for even looking after their accounts whether it be running over limit or paying late because they are careless or thinking things like interest are disgusting etc.
Anyway, he could always just buy a 12 month LIVE code as a on...
Which features would you like to see?
Do you mean this story from the metal gear rising devs?
http://n4g.com/news/1012990...
I wouldn't call that those devs trash talking, someone asked them would Move/Kinect be added into the game, the dev asked the guy if they wanted to have move/kinect integration and the journo said no and people laughed, sounded like t...
Oh yeah, definitely a big if. I live in hope though lol.
If done well, this could be an amazing game. I'm a Star Wars fan and the Bounty Hunter is such a cool character.
There's nothing confusing about the PS3's UI, I'm actually pretty sure the XMB interface previously won an industry award.
It's by no means pretty and it's performance could be improved but it's certainly not complicated.
As for firmware updates, yeah casuals will put up with them because they won't really know any better. It's like asking if the non tech savvy will put up with Windows Updates, of course they will. The same thi...
