So you think they didn't test the ability to ad funds to your wallet?

Read the posts made above yours, it can perhaps give you a bit of an understanding as to how this stuff works.

For instance the whole thing relies on 2 things, software and the network. The software portion of adding funds to a wallet may well work ok but when you release this to millions of users, something that isn't up to scratch which simply can't be identified in closed tes...

What he's saying i that no matter how much you test new software you can't catch every little bug or issue and it's only when it hits "mass market" that problems are found and that this is especially true with a networked product or networked software as it's impossible to internally test a networked product on the same scale as it being available to the entire userbase.

The same thing applies to updates for Windows or OSX and even apps you use on yo...

Remember that the UK population is only around ~60 million or so and is geographically very much smaller than the likes of the US or Canada.

5 million sold sounds right to me, consoles in the UK don't ship hundreds of thousands of units per month given the size of the market.

OnLive was sold for that amount because the state that business was in. It hadn't been run well and had a lot of debt.

OnLive was valued at one point at about $1.5 Billion by some analysts but when a business gets into the kind of trouble OnLive did then it's bargaining power with buyers is basically nullified.

Definitely an exciting service and I can't wait to see where this type of Technology and service goes in the future, particularly what Playstation does with it.

In the here and now though it doesn't grab me too much simply because I worry about performance and by that I mean how dependent this is on an internet connection and that connection performing at top level throughout. My internet connection is absolutely superb about 99% of the time but there's just so ma...

Sony published games on the PSN are usually pretty well priced imo, it's 3rd party publishers whose pricing is utterly ridiculous.

The only things I'd like to see happen with the Vita are as follows.

1: Continuing software support i.e. constant great games being released both in full retail games and smaller digital titles.

2: Price cut - now personally I feel the price is excellent value considering what is packed inside of the device but to gain a bit more mass market traction one is needed and the more traction the hardware gains then point #1 above takes care of itself.

I realise I'm likely in the minority but I really do enjoy some 3D gaming on my PS3. I was buying a new TV recently and there was an awesome deal on a really good 3D TV and I took it. I already had a couple of games that were 3D compatible (Uncharted 3, KZ3, Motorstorm Apocalypse) and thought why not.

I really enjoy them in 3D, I enjoy them a lot.

It's not a must have thing for me though with games, I like them but if there aren't many 3D games i...

I love how Septic told someone not to pass his opinions off as fact and then went and did just that.

Not to say that he doesn't have some good and valid points because he does. There's still some stuff in there where he passes off opinion as fact, the Crackdown stuff being the best example. I think you must be on crack there buddy.

Regardless of any bitterness or anger at being laid off there's really nothing he said in there that isn't true.

Sony have been rightfully criticized over their PR and marketing since the announcement of the PS3 and whilst it has gotten slightly better it still sucks.

@HammadTheOne - seriously? You think he shouldn't be mad at losing his job because of the means by which he got it? How is winning a contest any different than competing against othe...

If he decided to take action they may end up paying anyway.

Anyway, hardly big gaming news.

I don't think Sony will feel like they're competing all that much with the Wii U, rightly or wrongly Sony will believe their target audience is mostly different to that of the Wii U, obviously with a bit of overlap but they'll believe (again I repeat rightly or wrongly) they're playing to a different crowd.

Microsoft will be the same, expecially as they now have a really large and successful user base for Kinect and will push it out alongside the next Xbox (p...

Oh please don't think I'm shunning Nintendo, not at all. I grew up with gaming on the original NES, SNES, N64 etc. along with the early Sega consoles and Atari. I'm definitely not a Nintendo hater or anything of the sort.

In future the Wii U may interest me but at the moment it just doesn't. All the big 3rd party games I'll choose to play on PC when available and mainly use both my PS3 and Xbox for their exclusives which I greatly enjoy.

Sony have made a ton of mistakes with the PS3, I'm a massive Playstation fan, have bene since the original and will be when it comes to the PS4 but I'm not so blind that I can't recognise their mistakes.

The console was too dear, it did take too long to have a good collection of games, PSN (I mean the store, not the network play) offering was crap for a while and although I like the XMB UI, it's features and functionality even to this day aren't that good ...
