I don't use the iPlayer very much but when I do I'm glad I can watch it on my TV now instead of my PC monitor.

I just tried it out after reading this and it looks great even zooming in and making the screen of the iPlayer larger.

Thumbs up for this feature :)

Font size is fine on my 40" LCD as far as the XMB is concerned.

What I do find a little small is the text when I am typing out a message to someone on my friendlist.

lol what?

The problems that people (review sites) had with the game (socom) and why it scored poorly was because of the network problems it suffered, along with some of the promised features not being implemented at release.

Have you even read any of the reviews? Most of them had positive things to say about the actual gameplay when the servers weren't running like crap. Those have apparently been fixed now and some sites even re-reviewed the game and gave it a bette...

"Take Socom for example on the PS3... it got bad reviews but many of you PS3 fans love it... but look at the sales... the game sold poorly..."

You realise the game hasn't even been released in Europe yet right?

Also, how are review scores in any way related to how many copies a game sells? Most reviews are out there prior to release or VERY early in a game's life at retail.

Where do you pull this stuff from?

Rhetorical question btw...

The point of it is social networking. You can go into Home and interact with others and meet new people to play those games you enjoy with.

And on top of that there's a bunch of other stuff you'll be able to do if you so choose.

I've been playing R2 since Friday when it came out and have been loving it, kinda feel ashamed now I didn't give more attention to the first game and will end up playing and completing it now I think.

For how many of those 25 years have you been employed? No matter what way you spin it that pad is FUGLY lol.

I had the madcatz one which looked very similar to this one.

Today my official Sony bluetooth chatpad was delivered and I've been using it extensively today in Home and in regular messaging and it owns face.

Doesn't take up a USB slot either like these 3rd party version.

My main "I want" for any possible PSP 2 release would be a nice amount of internal memory, the lack of any is my biggest gripe with the current iteration of the PSP.

I bought this game at launch but hated driving in it so much that I turned it off and never played it again, traded it in like a month ago.

For anyone that loves the game though I'm sure the DLC will be very much welcome.

lol that's awesome

Some people just don't know how to work a screwdriver.

Apply enough pressure before & while turning and you won't go wrong. Using the correct size of screwdriver also helps.

Oh and since this guy is somewhat a sissy, he'd be better off using some vice grips instead of pliers, I'm just not sure he could lock the vice grips up tight enough though lol.

Wow I'm surprised (pleasantly though) to see they've done this so soon after SCEA did it. Very unexpected and unusual for SCEE to keep up with things like this.

I was laying in bed last night watching the latest Hulk movie on blu-ray (the movie itself is awesoem btw very impressed, Ed Norton owns face) and my blackberry went off. I thought it'd be some random newsletter from some site I'm signed up for but no, it was an invitation to the Home beta.

I went to sleep happy but now I have a dilemma. I bought R2 at lunchtiem today and have it to play when I go home and still have to finish LBP, Motorstorm 2 and Ratchet & Clank: ToD. not...

TBH this is the first piece of "contraversy" I've seen in regards to IGN UK. But yes you're right, some of my fellow Sony fans can go a bit loopy over what some sites have to say, just the same as a MS fan will. Best just to try and ignore it, trying to be a voice of reason is often unappreciated and quite frankly futile, on this site anyway. Still for some reason I enjoy reading lol.

The problem with people is they put too much stock in overall scores and one man's o...

Accusing R2 of not being innovative is probably the most retarded thing I've ever seen in a game review.

People overreact with scores.

8.2 out of 10 is nothing to be ashamed of and at the end of the day is simply one man's opinion.

Yeah maybe I did word it wrong, maybe more of an oversight than a mistake. Either way I'm not too fussed because like I said they've listened to their customers and are implementing features and services they maybe originally ignored, like a reward system. The fact they introduced the DS3 means they listen imo.

Anyways have a bubble sir.

I can't comment on whether or not I prefer the Trophy System over the 360's Achievement/Gamerscore system because I don't have a 360 and haven't experienced their system so it'd be wrong to say 1 is better than the other I feel.

However what I will say is that I do like trophies, when one pops up I'm like "ooohhh nice" like I'm sure many 360 gamers do when they see an achievement pop up on their screen.

I think the Trophy system is pretty sweet though a...

I hope the first person that was shown that ball controller by it's designer slapped that person on the back of the head lol.

I kinda like the controller in the 2nd pic.
