Yeah I thought the same thing when I read it.
Just thinking about how they could link up the PS3 with their other devices is an interesting thought indeed/
I actually just watched the video review and from what I have played of this game so far, the guy is bang on.
I have to ask why anyone would be expressing their sexual orientation in their profile for an online gaming service?
That's what the likes of MySpace and FaceBook and even youtube are for surely?
Only on the 2nd mission or w/e but omfg this game is incredibly intense.
The guy that said "you don't beat levels in KZ2, you survive them" was spot on.
lol wow how does this kind of garbage get approved?
Well given the release date that isn't so bad.
Thanks for the info, bubbles for each of you.
What are you banging on about?
Look at Insomniac, independent studio whose games are published by Sony. Look at my last post, where I mentioned they probably offer support in publishing and marketing. Sony did both those things with Resistence 2 (and R1 and the R&C games) which is IG's most recent game. I haven't see nthe contracts no but there's not much long with my logic, Insomniac's games have been published and marketed by Sony, just like I mentioned.
Here'...
You don't have to believe what Tretton said in that article Soda.
The proof is in the pudding as it were. I mean look at where Sony's exclusives are coming from, their first party studios and some other independent studios like Insomniac who just like working on PS platforms.
They'll maybe offer some financial support in the way of marketing or publishing to some 3rd party studios or even make a deal for some exclusive DLC (I think they have exclusive Mirrors Ed...
Great to have a confirmed release date.
This game alone didn't convince me to buy my 360 a month ago but it was definitely a factor in my decision to buy one as I really liked what I saw in the gameplay videos I watched on Gametrailers.
EDIT: I noticed it said there will be a demo, I don't need a gold account to download demo's on XBL do I? Sorry, relatively new to the console lol.
I think each one is playing catch up to the other in different ways.
Sony are playing catch up in overall sales but that is relative, 1-1.5 years less on the market is a large contributor to that so I'd say it is kinda playing catch up but not really considering the current age of the systems.
First Party Development - Sony are ahead of everyone by miles in that department.
Third Party Development - I'd say MS are getting more support from 3rd part...
lol US and Japan screwed in Home again that's almost as good as the non blu-ray ps3
Oh and Darth you can't visit other regions places like home square/plaza...you can only be invited by a user in another region to one of their pads and that's it.
If you want to visit the US or JPN versions of Home you'll need a US/JPN PSN account
There is already something like that actually.
It's called Media Manager for PSP and you access the PSP Store on it and use it to browse the store and buy/download games and manage any other media you want to put on your PSP.
I can play my games online for free, there are some amazing games on the playstation store that aren't available anywhere else.
The PSN is quality in my book. I don't care whether or not it's considered better than LIVE, what the PSN does, it does to a standard I am very happy with and can only really get better so I'm happy.
LIVE is obviously a fantastic service with great community oriented features but I just don't wantto pay for it. My free motnh of Gold expi...
What's your point?
MMO's are a different beast altogether so that isn't the best comparison to make.
Say for example, an MMO on a windows PC (they're all running on a Windows OS pretty much) you can't very well turn around and buy a MAC and play the same game for free in the same way that I can buy COD and play for free on either PSN or on my PC but if I choose a 360 to play it on I'd have to pay. Which is more the point of that guy's post, even if that isn't how he put it across.

Microsoft are doing pretty well so I don't think they need a Sony killer.
What I do think is that they want a Sony killer, we all know how MS like nothing more than market dominance.
Did you actuallly get an email saying it was despatched? Because myself and a bunch of others I know all got an email from shopto.net saying that they were getting the orders ready today, ready to be shipped on Wednesday, meaning you get it on Thursday.
In fact this is what it says.
Dear Customer,
We're writing to you regarding your pre-order for Killzone 2. Please be advised we'll be starting the processing of all Killzone 2 pre-orders today. This is ...
An analyst worse than Pachter really does exist.
I was gonna go on to comment about the ludicrous comments from this guy but he isn't worth the time and nor are gamedaily for actually publishing such rubbish.
Thats kind of how I cure a hangover, keep drinking!
PSP is getting some mad love this year, it's great.
Can't wait to hear what kind of announcements there are around E3. 2009 is hsaping up to be a MASSIVE year for gaming.
