A lot of 4k HDR TV's could eventually support the FreeSync feature via update. It's the same thing as when PS4 Pro launched and companies like LG and Samsung had to update their TV's to enable HDR mode.
You call them the same tired franchises yet as PS fanboy you probably never even played them, yet you call them tired? If you want a switch over this then by all means do as you wish, but don't talk bad about something when all this good news is coming out. Your just being a hater.
Xbox One has nearly the exact same titles as PS4. There is the occasional exclusive but not all PS4 exclusives are as great as you fanboys make it seem.
Exactly, classic case of insanity.
It's because devs aren't stupid and they're going to go where the money is. In all honesty I wouldn't be surprised if the Switch lifetime sales falls below the Wii U. This news about developer support shouldn't come as news to anyone. This is classic Nintendo doing what they've always done since the Game Cube. I guess it's true what they say, you really can't teach an old dog new tricks.
I'm really excited for Scorpio and just hoping for a more noticeable difference from the current graphical level of games. I was excited for PS4 Pro at first as well until I saw that it's basically just a bigger PS4 with a few extra tricks. I must say that so far this has probably been the most boring console generation ever to say the least. It's just been a game of rock paper scissors between Sony and Microsoft trying to get as much money from consumers as possible. I understand...
That's true but the consoles themselves were only around $100 bucks and most of the games averaged $39.99 at Funcoland ( old school gamestop lol )
Personally I think gaming could benefit from a giant step backwards. New technology is cool and all but I miss the days when it was just plug and play. Games were more affordable and accessible for the whole family to enjoy. I think Nintendo had the right idea with the Switch, but the execution was poor in my opinion. I think there's still room in the console market for a low price traditional console. Not the hybrid console/PCs everyone is accustomed too now, but a plain gaming console t...
To me the Scorpio sounds like a really exciting console. It looks like Microsoft is trying to officially bridge the gap between consoles and PC which at this point is a given when you consider how similar to PC consoles have become over time; System updates, external hard drives, web browsers, editing resolution and frame rates (PS4 Pro) etc. I think Microsoft has a pretty solid game plan moving into the future but I agree with this article that they're making a mistake branding it as a &...
It doesn't even seem safe for kids. I could see alot of kids cutting there fingers just like the guy did in the video.
Wow, I haven't really been keeping up with the Switch news but this looks like a piece of junk. Kind of reminds me of those old Tiger electronic handhelds except the Switch costs 10 times as much as those did back in the day.
You know it's a sad generation when gamers care more about a company doubling it's profits than games. Some of these gamers really want to see Sony have a monopoly so they can jack up prices on everything. All I can say is be careful what you wish for.
Sony still has the advantage in price. It's good to see competitors having a positive impact on each other. This could only be good news for fans that have been interested in VR but haven't been able to afford it. However I think the price still needs to come down more because even at 500-600 that's still too much for most people. I don't think VR is gonna really take off until they get it down to 200-300 on average.
Nintendo knows they have a loyal fanbase that's gonna buy the system no matter whats available. So they probably intentionally are launching it with a handful of games because their going to have a strong launch regardless. By holiday season they'll have a decent catalog of games for the system and they'll have Mario which is gonna be a system seller. I think they were smart for rushing to avoid launching with Scorpio.
That deal is good enough to make you trade your PS4 for an Xbox One. You could save alot of money on that service and have access to 100s a games every month. Obviously this doesn't apply to you if your a fanboy or resolution whore, but I'm talking about real gamers that just like to game and get the most bang for your buck.
PS Now would actually be cool if they could fix the connection issues. I tried the free trial and it was amazing that you have access to all those games, but you have to have a near perfect internet connection for it to work. It has the potential to be what Sega Channel was back in the days, but i don't think internet is fast enough for most people at this point.
Exclusives are horrible for gaming. Exclusives aren't what they used to be in the form of system sellers. That's when people would buy a Nintendo for Mario or Sega for Sonic. We're now in the generation where it's all about money and capatalism. it went from friendly competition to business as usual. i stick to what i said before, exclusives only breeds fanboyism. Obviously they would still whine over specs and resolution, but as long as everyone is happy that's all that m...
My personal opinion about exclusives is anyone that agree that certain games should only be on one console needs to grow up and get a life. As long as the game you want is on the console you own, why should it even matter to you if that same game is on a different console? I think exclusives is bad business for the game industry in general. All that creates is fanboys and brand loyalty which may indeed be good for the console manufacturer and some devs, but has a negative impact on gamers in ...
Either Microsoft are keeping their cards close waiting for a royal flush with Scorpio or they've just gotten completely lazy.
Scorpio does sound amazing and the specs are indeed impressive, but as usual the price will be what makes it or breaks it. I think $500 would be the sweet spot but with all that fancy tech the only way to sell it at $500 is to take a loss per unit. But there's still a lot we don't know about Scorpio. So far all the talk has been on specs but it's bound to have some game-changing features as well. AR could play a big role in the consoles future.
