Well the Wii U isn't next gen so it shouldn't come as a surprise at all. To be honest, the Wii U is what the Wii was supposed to be. I'm positive fanboys will disagree and attack me for that comment but it's the damn truth and you know it.
The Wii was current gen with PS2 and Xbox 1. Not saying it's a bad console, but just call it what it is. Wii U shouldn't be mentioned with PS4 as it's more comparable to PS3.
I agree with you and share the same feelings but Nintendo fanboys are probably the worst. These guys are grown as hell still looking foward to play Mario and Mickey Mouse. Don't get me wrong I used to love Mario too when I was kid, but I've grown up.
I really do wish people stop calling the Wii U next gen because it's not. Having said that I think it's a great current gen console and I would get one now for about $250.
There making such a big deal out of Titan Fall like it's going to be the new Halo for Xbox One or something, but it could turn out to be a huge disappointment.
That is true but they're missing out on millions in a time when they can really use it.
Nintendo's just stuck in the past. They have to get with the times and realize the tactics that have worked before simply won't cut it anymore because the rules have changed. People game differently now than they did in the 80's and 90's and even in the early 2000's. I used to love my GBA and PSP but now I do all my gaming on the go on ipad. It would be wonderful if I could play Mario Cart on iOS. Nintendo is missing out on a huge opportunity.
The gamepad alone is costing them over $150 to make. Remove the gamepad and make it optional, then they can lower the retail price to $200 and problem solved. I'm not going to get into numbers because at this point if you don't know the Wii U is failing then your living under a rock.
From what I've gathered of the Kinect the only thing people actually like is the voice commands, and you don't even need the Kinect for that. You don't even need the PS Eye to use voice commands on the PS4 as it's built in the controller and PS Eye is optional. The only useful thing that the motion controls do is navigate the menus but ask yourself...is it really that hard to press left and right on the analog sticks? Kinect is just one big gimmick and is only there in the 1st...
Your absolutely right about that. With Xbox One it seems they wanted to capture some of the Wii's casual audience while trying to maintain the 360 hardcore gamers, but so far has been losing a bit of both.
I don't think 3DS can. 3DS is no where near as strong as GBA was at the time ( even I had one ) especially with mobile now dominating the portable gaming market which has always been Nintendo's emergency exit. This time I don't think there's no escape. Their gonna just have to bite the bullet and face their fate unless they're willing to do away with the gamepad which is the only logical option at this point.
Didn't even sell better than Knack...the weakest of PS4's launch games.
man, I remember a time when if you wanted to get through levels quick you could just get cheat codes. I used to get some from the magazine "Tips and Tricks" or just go online at gamespot.com in the cheats section. They don't even have a cheat section anymore that's just how much things have changed. How the hell did we get to the point where Microtransactions take the place of codes? I guess Game Genie would be considered blasphamy under todays standards.
Well the reason PS4's online system is better is quite simple; they have more to offer at a better price. With Xbox Live, while it's a good service it often feels like your being nickled and dimed. Microsoft charges you to use even the most basic of functions and even charges you to use a service that you already pay for, that just aint cool. With PS4 most of the online functionality is still free, and if you choose to pay they have a lot more to offer than just multiplayer. They give...
I love PlayStation to death, but Sony has to tighten the security of PSN. I know their still fairly new to the online space but right now online security is there only weakness.
Xbone is playing possum trying to avoid the inevitable. I do have to admit in a sick sadistic way I am enjoying their suffering. I'll have a front row seat at Xbox One's funeral eating popcorn like i'm at the movies.
Microsoft is strategically trying to make it look like they are doing as good as Sony. They are not sold out, they're just holding back their own supply and claiming they are. They did the same thing with pre orders and never gave the numbers. They can only run and avoid the subject for so long. The time will come when they will have to give up sales figures and then people will know the truth.
That right there is why I cant deal with Kinect. Im not even talking about the ingame stuff, just people talking to their console in general isn't natural. That guy sounded like a damn fool and i imagine other Xbox owners will as well.
I personally feel that PS4's play as you install is one of it's most over-looked features. No one likes to wait, especially when your eager to play a brand new game you've been waiting for. Having to wait 10 full minutes for a game to install is excruciating.
Well at least they beat out ipad and that's huge. That actually would have made a much better story and is more evenly matched. Still quite a feat they managed to have more mentions than all other phones including Samsung Galaxy which has been growing in popularity.
