I'm looking forward to seeing what Microsoft has in store for Scorpio and also seeing what new games they have in development. Seeing how much noise fanboys have made about the lack of exclusives, you could only think that MS has a few in development that are yet to be revealed. Maybe I'm just old fashioned but I always look forward to the release of new consoles with an open mind weather I plan to buy one or not.
I believe Nintendo had the right idea with the Wii U, but the overall product was just underwhelming. They were leaning too heavily on the tablet bandwagon that was going on at the time, and people just found it better to play games on their ipads and android tablets. Which were actually better than Wii U in almost way including but not limited to portability, battery life, looks, apps, games, multitasking and even performance. The only thing the Wii U had going for it was Nintendo exclusive ...
That's pretty good news. That puts an end to one of my major concerns with Scorpio. All that leaves left is the price.
It honestly depends on the end product and the price. If Microsoft's plan is simply to release a more powerful version of Xbox One at a higher price tag then it's DOA. They would actually benefit from taking a page out of Nintendo's book. One thing Nintendo has going for them is they know their place in the market. They simply can't compete on a graphical level but they can offer something different and unique. The only hope i see of Microsoft is their augmented reality projec...
I just don't think it's right how people continue to bunch the Switch in with PS4 and Xbox. Nintendo has clearly gone in a completely different direction, whereas Microsoft and Sony are direct competitors.
I think the Switch will be alright. Personally i'm getting one next month and don't really care about major 3rd party releases for it. It's just one of those scenarios where it is what it is. If all i cared about was major 3rd party games then i would just stick with PS4 end of story. However the 1st party games are strong and i love the flexibility of the console. It's best suited for people on the go, opposed to being glued to the couch all day.
I don't know what they've been waiting on. The fanbase is still very much alive and waiting. Theres so much more to sega than just Sonic.
I don't know if Scorpio will make VR mainstream or not, but neither do you or any of the haters on this site. Yet still, if the title said PS4 Pro instead of Scorpio this whole discussion thread would be all praise and you know it. Don't try to act like your not biased because clearly you are. Having said that I'm actually a PlayStation fan but I'm open minded when it comes to gaming unlike the majority of the fanboys here.
Just glancing at the comments it's clear there is alot of Microsoft haters on this site. I actually think it sounds pretty cool but obviously that will be downvoted big time here. Well so long haters lol
The Switch is an appealing piece of hardware. I have to admit for me the conventional way of gaming on the TV sitting on the couch has gotten rather old. We're living in a time where mobility is all the rage and it's harder for people to stay glued to one spot. That's why gaming on smart phones and tablets caught fire in the past and now the Switch is placed somewhere firmly in the middle. If they can get some decent third party support and continue to market it properly it's ...
I don't think this is a good idea. Racism is a very touchy subject and personally I feel it has no place in a video game. Games are meant to be a relaxing past time to help escape from the problems of everyday life. But now if you can't even avoid these things in games then what the heck is the point?
nevermind
I hope this is coming out on Scorpio.
I think Patcher has a point. Gaming definitely isn't what it used to be. You kind of get a taste of it already with mobile apps. For a lot of casuals mobile is their go to for gaming. Once things get to the point when you can consistently play console level games on your TV without a console that will defeat the purpose of consoles and only the fanboys will keep it going. But like all things in life eventually we all get older and a new generation takes over that doesn't know or care ...
Honestly when i first saw Horizon, before I knew it was coming from one of Sony's first parties, I immediately thought it was a sequel to Enslaved. Which was a great game btw, but I can definitely see where the developers coming from with the comparisons. Horizon could just as easily exist in the Enslaved world.
Xbox Neo
I wonder what the battery life would be like...1 hour?
The battery life of the Switch to me is the biggest disappointment. You would have thought Nintendo would have learned a thing or two from the mistakes of the Wii U but apparently not. I understand a stronger battery would have increased the price but the battery is the most important aspect of any portable device. Granted the Switch is more than a portable device, but come on 3 hours with the brightness on low is ridiculous.
Probably timed exclusive.
