@Teflon02:
It doesn't need to be licened, as long as it is generically branded, and not claimed to be an official Sony product, legally Sony cannot stop it.
@IRetrouk:
The reason Sony went after the other faceplate maker was because of the branding. They were etching "PS5" on the plates, and the site was literally www.platestation5.com. Sony also knew the people behind it were small enough for them to bully. They didn'...
@RazzerRedux:
Since always. You cannot patent a non branded shape. If Sonys logo or "PS5" were on it, then it would be an issue, but without any branding, it is legally considered a generic form.
DBrand has their own team of lawyers on retainer that would have gone over this with them already, which is why they are so confident. They know Sony has no legal ground to stand on. It is no different from them making iPhone cases (which they do), and ...
A C&D would rightly be ignored, and if Sony were to sue, Sony would loose. They have no legal grounds to stop 3rd party face plates.
Honestly this looks worse than normal. Loads of texture noise, like a photo with the ISO set way too high.
Good thing you stopped there. It gets worse.
Would personally fit in DQ3.
Edit: NM. It was GBC, not GBA.
That is some Trump level conspiracy theory garbage. Do you honestly believe MS payed sites to badmouth the competition? If so, get help.
Still living in 2008? PCSX2 has been near flawless for over a decade now. It currently has a compat rate of 97%, and most of that can be completed without any issues. Beat many games on it over the years without any noticeable bugs or glitches.
So ambitious, the story is still incomplete. They had 5 episodes planned for it. Only 3 ever got released.
Headline is misleading. Ubisoft is working on a patch for it that they plan to have out in early Dec.
Hard pass. They killed the game when they nerfed ES.
I was one of those "niche" builds. Melee sora kicked a$$.
They cannot stop cfw on existing 3DS systems. The update is probably just removing old services that are no longer functional.
Scalebound.
Not all Vinyl wrap looks bad. The stuff Dbrand uses is very thick and high grade. I got a vinyl backing from them to go with a Grip phone case, and it is impossible to even tell that the case has a vinyl backing on it. It is completely seamless and looks like part of the case itself.
Likely a faulty cap in the PSU went kaboom.
Shouldn't need to. The firmware is stored on NAND flash, soldered to the main board. It would be no different from putting a new HDD in a PS3. Just insert the drive and turn on the system, it should automatically detect the new drive and format it.
Yes, the drive is 3.0, as i already mentioned above. The socket on the board is 4.0 though, which means it will be possible to upgrade to a faster M.2 drive. Either 4GB/s if it is an x2, or 7GB/s if it is an x4.
Assuming it is limited to x2, then it would cap at just under 4GB/s. It may be an x4 for all we know though. I cannot find any information on it currently.
Provide a single objective reason why built-in battery packs are better, that is not countered by a set of rechargable Energizer Lithiums. For all the constant whining from Sony fanboys about replaceable AAs being a bad thing, i have yet to see anyone list any objective benefits to built-ins, beyond the slightly lower upfront cost, and the slimmer and lighter controller. Loads of uninformed opinions on the matter, but nothing factual.
For $15-20, you can get a set of 4 Ener...
