It is a 4.0 x4 slot afaik. The current M.2 drive that it ships with is only a PCIe 3.0 drive. Both the internal m.2 slot and the external expansion slot should support up to 7GB/s.
This might be why MS went with PCIe 4.0 instead of 3.0. It should allow users to upgrade to a full speed PCIe 4.0 NVME.

Netflix, or any home media, is far better than cinema. Once you have a decent TV and a good home theater system, you will never go back to the cinema again. Smaller screen, but far superior PQ and far superior audio.

Was thinking the same thing. This will potentially hinder multitasking while gaming. I fail to even see a practical purpose to having a UI in 4k. There are no fine details like hair or zoomed in faces that would benefit from it. Mostly just static background images and icons. I am much more curious about the framerate of the UI. Hopefully both consoles run at 120fps.

No way in hell they will give up multiplat sales for an extra 15m/month on GP.
If it was x1 it would be limited to around 1.9GB/s. It has to be atleast x2 for the included drive to work at full speed.
