To be honest I hope Sony and Microsoft both have new IPs in the works otherwise we won't get any launch games next generation.

Wii has a large advantage as it has a far larger install base.

It would require a lot of work but it could be done.
All Take Two have to do is re-create Liberty city again from scratch but in a lower poly, lower texture version, take out all the lighting effects, half the number of pedestrians on screen, half the number of vehicles, add some fog to shorten draw distance.
They'd have to remove the euphoria tech and physics engine. The destructible extras around the place, boxes, mailboxes etc. The real time damage modelling on cars...
Until the exchange rate changed a month or so ago in the UK PS3 titles sell for the equivalent of $80 US. ($120 for a limited edition box set.)
EDIT: Oh, and when the PS3 released in UK it sold for the equivalent of $850 US.
Now that the exchange rate has changed back these last few weeks our games cost the equivalent of $60 US.
Yeah, but you're forgetting that the GC and PS2 were fairly similar machines.
Perhaps MH3 could be ported to the PS2, but not the PS3 or 360.
They are just completely different beasts.
You'd have to start developing the game again from scratch.
I would have stuck CoD WaW in there too.
It's certainly one of the better Wii games this year.
Maybe it's because M'soft take a bigger revenue cut.
John Carmack said they weren't going to ship rage on 3 DVDs because M'soft would take too much of their money.
Maybe devs don't have to sell as many copies of their games on PS3 to make their money back.

I always thought that Zelda TP was OoT but with only a slight graphics improvement but with Wiimote controls added.
Zelda TP had the control update already with the Wii mote, now it's time for a graphics update. HDR, lighting and physics etc.
I want Hyrule to be lush and vibrant like Uncharted.
(Although Hyrule field probably shouldn't have quite so many trees.)

RE4 is an excellent excellent title, although not particularly scary if you were to compare it to something like Dead Space.
You should check D.S. out. If you like RE4 then you'd probably like Dead Space. They have lots of similarities in play style.
D.S. is just a lot scarier though.
But there is no denying both are excellent games.
die_fiend - RE4 is a brilliant game, but it isn't as survival horror as the older REs used to be.
RE5 looks to be even less horror than 4. It looks more action in the preview builds we've seen so far.

If capcom were making just a PS3 version then the game could utilise procedural textures like Killzone 2.
But because the game is multiplatform Capcom won't want to increase their work by making procedural textures for the PS3 and compressed textures for the 360. They're working to a budget.
They'll just stick in compressed textures for both - which the PS3 can handle, but which works out much better for the 360. That way the 36...

Can't see Zelda coming next year unfortunately. They always get delayed because the Zelda team are perfectionists.
