Lost Planet 2?

Sweet! I wasn't expecting that.

Any co-op options on the demo?

While I agree to some extent with what you've said.
Obviously you can't see the level of AA, the resolution or texture quality there are other things that you can tell from the video.

The main one for me is: Enemies reactions to being shot ... i.e. they don't react at all.
Maybe I've been spoilt by animation system on KZ2, Uncharted etc but the way the enemies reacted to being shot could have come straight out of a Wii title (or Resident Evil 5)

Watch aro...

@coolfool - have you tried a company that used Local Loop Unbundling (LLU) like BeThere?

I could only get 5mbps out of a 8mg exchange but because of LLU I managed to get 19mbs out of a possible 24mg.

Yeah, I admit Crysis is extremely feature rich. But with gameplay I guess it's down to personal preference.
I'm a Killzone 2 multiplayer man (just my opinion). I can take the hit in Graphics from high end PC down to PS3 because the PS3 does all those other things that Crysis isn't doing yet.
(I realise Crysis is also doing hundreds of things the PS3 isn't doing)
In Crysis, I'm immersed because of the beautiful world, but when I shoot an enemy it pulls me out of the game...

Its the U.S. that have the slow data infrastructure outside of their major cities. UK is relatively fast by comparison.

Sky offer 24Meg. I have 24Meg with Be There.
Virgin offer 50Meg.

And considering that the U.S. are the biggest market then the PS Cloud would have to take off there to make it truely worthwhile.

The PS Cloud is actually possible with the PS3. The PS3 can already handle 1080p so as long as the cloud servers handle all the...

Crysis is cool. Graphics are phenomenal, BUT the AI and animation engine of Killzone 2 trounces Crysis.

The Helghast are so SO much more realistic than the enemies in Crysis.
From their flanking, reactions to being shot and their animations.

Crytek may be the kings of graphics, but they don't hold a candle to Guerilla when it comes to the realism of the Helghast soldiers.

EDIT:
Crysis:

Compare all the game modes and richness of features you get from Brawl or Mario Kart and then look at how much Madworld gives you for $60.
I think the game looks great, but if I were a kid still living at home and going to school I couldn't afford $60 ...

Madworld was quite pricy for a short single player with no proper multiplayer.
The game would definitely suit being a downloadable title on PSN and/or live.
As the game doesn't have much going on "on screen" you could easily increase the resolution to 1080p. And as a downloadable title you don't need to add any other current gen effects or richness of features like you'd find in a full retail game. Add trophies and achievements.
$20 a pop sounds about right. ...

Look closely at exactly 1:34 the first mystery perk is a picture of Mercury's winged foot.
That means some kind of speed boost or will it replace "extreme conditioning"? Definitely speed related.

The second perk looks like a knife crossed with something else. Throwing knives?

Third: A wine glass with a hoola hoop? j/k I think it looks like a gun blast with a ring round it. Increased bullet spread? Or larger radius for auto aim.

Don't blame me scissor_runner I bought Metroid 3.
I made my contribution.

In general I agree with your post. I always liked Nintendo because their games are different.

But I guess there just aren't enough gamers like us to fully support the games like No More Heros, Zack and Wiki and Madworld alone.

caffman - I don't even need to mention Galaxy mate. Everyone knows it's the best game. Common knowledge.

I was only using an example of three games.

I picked one poor casual game, one average semi-casual game and one excellent gamers game.

I would have picked Galaxy for the excellent game, but it's Mario - that name alone bucks the trend.

See Mario and Sonic at the Olympics as an example of that. Game is nasty but it has Mario and...

@product

I didn't know that. I get no satisfaction in predicting Nintendo would take core resource away from Mario and Zelda to put them on the non-core titles.

In fact what you've told me has made me feel a little sad inside.

Lol.
Yeah, it is funny seeing people getting upset over sales.

Wii Fit sales sure is an incredible feat, but is it something to be happy about if you are a Wii owner?

1) Wii Fit
2) Mario Kart Wii
3) Metroid 3

I've put those 3 Wii games in sales order. If you had to place them in quality order
i.e. order them best game to worst, I bet most gamers on here would order the games in the opposite direction.
So while it...

IW made the name Call of Duty what it was. I can't blame them for wanting to put their own mark on an IP they own.

How would you feel if every other year a less talented company brought down the name of the franchise you have worked hard to build up? Treyarch only managed an acceptable job on W@W because they used IW's COD4 engine.

Break away from the Call of Duty name. Let it die with Treyarch and build up the Modern Warfare name. Perhaps MW2 won't make milli...

Hey Arius, how's it going?

You sound pretty happy with that news.

Looks like Nintendo are beginning to appreciate how lucrative titles like Wii Fit really are.

I guess the news could only get better if Nintendo announced that they intend to pull "core" title resources to put them on Wii Fit style exercise peripherals? I mean it makes financial sense doesn't it? It's all about winning the console war.
Sales sales sales...

"the writing of that article is barely passable at a high school writing level"

I know. Lol. I was expecting it to end with:

...and then my mommy came in with some cookies and milk and put me to bed. Seriously I really enjoyed the cookies more than milk, but I gotta sleep now it school tomorrow for real.

HipHopGamer - seriously - get rid of this dude. He is a joke and he makes your site look amateurish.

@Captain Obvious

Did you ever play Captain Planet (your avatar) on the Amiga?

That was one tough game! I could beat the first level where you had to fix the ozone layer. The second where you rescued the dolphins and the third where you had to grow plants ... for some reason. But I never had enough lives to beat all of them on a single go.

Both Flashback and Another World (Out of this World in U.S.) were awesome games.

I prefered Flashback personally because it was a longer.
I remember having to look for access cards and guns etc in Flashback. And I remember the game being longer and requiring a bit more work. I also loved the green jungle stage.

Another World you could beat in half an hour or something if you knew where you were going. Still great though.
Remember swinging the cag...

Bubbles for you Baba. I feel the same way.
The multiplayer is second to none.
Sales don't affect me as I have the game, my mates have the game. That's all that affects me personally.

Sales don't directly bother me, although I would like the game to do well as the guys at Guerilla deserve the money and I want them to earn lots of it ... so they can put some of it back into the company and produce KZ3 :-)
