Perhaps, but Star Wars the Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels is a game, so maybe it is worth IGN reviewing it so that core gamers know that it isn't for them - readers of IGN.

No you don't. That's completely wrong. You review it so that the review is applicable to your core demographic - or the typical viewer of your website - which in IGN's case is the gamer.

That's true mate, but us core gamers need new recruits.
There may be some kids out there that still think video games are about grooming ponies, cooking or pretending to play music by keeping rhythm. We need more trailers to show them that games also involve shooting, racing cars, blowing up stuff and how good visuals really are in this generation. We need to grab their attention and turn them into core gamers.

Yeah, but you would have had to cut all the physics and content out to get it running on Wii so it would have ended up being a different game.
I would have liked to try this game on PS3, but 360 is a worthy enough console to put it on with a high attach rate.
I think they made a fair choice of console.
DD "will" be the blu ray killer ... at some point a long way away in the future but not for several years.
The masses will eventually all adopt blu ray and then when DD (after a long time) reaches blu ray quality (which it is nowhere near yet) then the techies like you and me will adopt it and then a couple of years later the public will.
But at the moment DD HD Movies aren't much better quality than upscaled DVDs. They may be 720p, 1080i and occasiona...
I'm in the UK. I've seen loads of DS ads. Loads of Wii My Sims ads, but I haven't seen one LBP ad. Not a single R2 ad either.
I think the last ad I saw was Midnight club, but that was PS3 and 360.
And before that was GTA 4 on 360.
Apart from that it's like PS3 doesn't exist.
I firmly believe the sales figures we see for Wii is because they are advertised on TV every commercial break.

I never actually owned a PS1, I just remember getting my N64 and seeing Mario in all his 3D glory, MIP mapping and running with AA, then going round a dates house and seeing her housemates PS1 running some game that looked a mess with jaggies and low res pixelated surfaces everywhere.
That was early in the generation though, so I guess the games must have got a lot better after I first tried a PS1 out.
N64 graphics were WAY better than the PS1. Remember the tech in OoT. There was nothing even close on Sony. Long draw distances. Great art direction.
Mario World on the SNES. Mode7 graphics first in F-Zero and then in the best Mario Kart of all time.
Nintendo used to be king of console graphics / art style.

To be honest the specs of the iphone aren't that far off the PS2 or the Wii.
The iPhone is closer in power to a Wii, than a Nintendo Wii is to a 360 or PS3.
And don't forget with the jailbreak software you can get the iPhone to do loads of stuff.
