At the end of the day all comparisons fairly childish and are just excuses for getting fanboys to argue so that the website of cr4ppy journalists get more hits (because they can't get hits writing decent articles).
I merely thought these two FPS were probably closer suited from a genre point of view than say ... Gears and R2.

3) on competing current gen systems
4) both claim to push the tech of their respective systems

Like Wii owners like to remind everyone, the Wii is current generation and as such the two games are in direct competition for FPS fans money.

Well, allow me to rectify the situation.
I thought Gears 2 was a better game than R2 and I don't think R2 deserved a score as high as the one IGN gave. R2 was a great package (loads there) no doubt, but the shooting wasn't as tight as Call of Duty 4 or the Killzone 2 beta.
And Left4Dead 4 player co-op is awesome. One of the best online experiences I've had this year.

Considering this is the most visually impressive console game ever, with the most impressive lighting and textures ever seen, I can only conclude that video games don't impress you.

I heard Nintendo made $50 per Wii console. Can't confirm it though.
With the crappy internal hardware I can't see the Wii costing more than $100 to build now, especially as the parts are around a decade out of date.
I don't think Sony will be able to sell a fantastic machine at a loss next gen and may have to go the same way as Nintendo.

Yeah, tense is cool. But scary is best ... for me anyway.
For me Dead Space is now the king of survival horror.

Dead Space trailers were freaky and you could tell the game would make you jump. But RE5? Everything I've seen so far looks like an action game. I'm sure it will be tense, but will it be scary?

I think you Wii fans need to educate yourselves a bit more about the HD consoles.
The HD consoles are not just an upgrade of graphics. They are a lot more than that.
Wii has made a lot of new things possible because of the Wii mote, but don't forget that an upgrade in horsepower changes games too and I'm not talking just about graphics.
Look at LBP. Graphics are good, but they aren't what the game is about. LBP would have sold much better on Wii...

I'm interested in the RE5 demo as I want to see if the series is going to be scary anymore. RE4 was already less scary (even though it was a great game) I'm worried that RE5 will be heading into too much action and not enough suspense.
I'm not going to bother with the KZ2 demo at all... because it's already a Day One buy!!
