Uhhh... you again.
"Right...this game could be done on gamecube could it? They just decided to make Resident Evil 4 look like that for a laugh?"
Read my comment again and see if you understand it this time.
"They need to hold their face when you cap it to allow you to run up and melee their asses."
I didn't realise it was a requirement for enemies to stay where they are after you cap them so you can melee them.

Wow, that is very similar to a PS3 controller!
Why would Nintendo do that? Normally they are the ones innovating with controllers. (No sarcasm intended)
I thought they were leading a controller revolution. They already have the classic controller and GC controller support.
Why support a fourth?
Are they looking to get some more core gaming customer support?
The Wii-mote works better than a dual analogue for FPS so why this?
Sorry to provide a translation to your song Action but some of the kids on here are a bit stupid and wouldn't understand.
We = PS3 owners.
Dance = bullets dancing their way into a Helgast soldier.
Your friends = 360 owners.
An N4G user with a brain ... Bubbles up man.
You must be British right?
I'd say this gen is characterised by:
Proper online (this is the first console gen that we've had online comparable to PC)
And I'd say this is the gen of physics and animation.
Euphoria tech is "this" gen.
Killzone 2 animation (combination of ragdoll and mo-capping)
Physics and interaction in LBP
Facial animation. Motion Capture.
And the generation of Hollywood Movie budget games.
There was nothing like that in the las...
This game is basically a Wii game with decent graphics. Except for the lighting, models and texture work, the game appears to be running off the RE4 engine with little to no improvement. It could easily be pulled off on a gamecube or PS2.
Just think what Capcom could have done if they'd licenced the euphoria or Killzone 2 engine. Imagine how much fun it would have been wading through zombies that reacted differently every time like the citizens in GTA4 or Helghast soldiers.

I won't be buying this as I beat it over half a decade ago.
But for those of you that enjoyed Metroid 3 I'd certainly recommend it. It was my favourite of the 3D metroids.
I wouldn't use the word hate. I think "disappointing" would be appropriate though.
Think of RE4 - arguably one of the finest games last gen. Released early 2005. It was a huge step up for the third person genre. Graphics, tech, gameplay, animation.
Raising the bar in survival horror standards.
Then in 2006 Gears improved 3rd person controls.
2007 gave us the gorgeous Drakes Fortune
Then 2008 gave us the finest su...
I advise RE1 and RE2 fans to get Dead Space as it is like Resident Evil used to be. I.e. atmospheric, creepy and scary.
If you are an RE4 fan and especially liked the mercenaries game that you unlock once you'd beaten the single player adventure.
I.e. crisis management and panic.
... then I recommend getting RE5.
I would definitely nab a few PS2 titles.
I was a Nintendo fanboy the last 3 gens before the Wii, so I missed out on great titles like GOW2, SOTC, ICO etc.
I'd buy loads of them.
Come on...
You guys would be bored without fools like me giving the Wii grief now and again.
Be honest, I'm your favourite Wii antagonist, aren't I?
That's disappointing.
Might still get it though. The story wasn't amazingly original, but I still want to know what happens.
Dead Space FTW!
I think we need to calm down BrotherNick ... me especially ;-)
I need to get back to work too. I've got a meeting coming up.
Peace
My trouble is I get used to writing 5.1
Congratulations BrotherNick you've taught me not to be so blasé about terminology.
I'll refer to Dolby Digital / DTS in future.
Now, that wikipedia has taught you what Dolby Prologic is are you interested in hearing what it sounds like?
I assume that because you are a Wii owner and once told me that the PS3 was expensive your budget won't stretch to a surround sound amp, and a 5.1 / 7.1
...
"you realize because of the lower poly counts it's more likely that they can put 5.1 surround right?"
Erm... No.
The Wii only has Stereo output.
Therefore is only capable of Dolby Pro Logic II
So no Galaxy didn't do 5.1. Although it did have a fully orchestrated sound track which was awesome.
Decodes channels not 5 discreet channels.
I lol at you BrotherNick
EDIT: Ahh I see you edited your post...
Oh no!
Please don't tell me the Wii is getting another Umbrella Chronicles.
What an awful game that was.
Hopefully it is just the trailer and the game will be 3rd person like the HD Version.
If this game turns out well I'll be buying back a Wii.
Dead Space is such an awesome game!!!
"People want RE5 to be Dead Space but it's not."
I think the trouble is that Dead Space is more Resident Evil than RE5 is.
Dead Space goes for psychological scares, rather than throwing enemies at you to cause panic rather than fear.
Creeping, jumpy moments.
Dead Space was like RE1.
RE5 is more like the mercenaries game you unlock once you've beaten RE4. Or like space invaders where row upon row of enemies are getting closer.
...
Wii games take less time to develop.
They're usually less feature rich, lower poly counts, less physics, simple animations.
You don't need to worry about all the particle physics or complicated lighting.
Also the HD Dead Space had a full 5.1 Audio stage (it's up for Bafta for sound design) Its amazing - really atmospheric. Obviously you don't need to worry about stuff like that for a Wii.
Quick and cheap to develop. So the games don't have to sell as much...
Ebay it mate.
Beat the game then stick the Wii back on and get virtually the same amount of money back.
I'm in the same boat as you. Dead Space was my GOTY last year.
I have to play this version too!!!
Sh1t! Why did they have to make a new Dead Space for Wii?
Couldn't they have ported the HD Dead Space?
That way I wouldn't have to buy this.
This game actually looks pretty good. This is the first game since I beat Mario Galaxy in 2007 that has made me want to buy my Wii back again.
Hopefully my father-in-law will be bored of Wii Sports by the time this comes out, and I can borrow the machine to beat this.
Really want a PS3 version ...
Yeah, Dead Space was one of the best games out last year.
If it wasn't for Dead Space being so awesome then I'd probably have given RE5 a free pass.
I'll get the game for co-op, but I'm not as excited for it as I was before I played the demo.
I guess DS has shown how good a survival horror can be.
Frankly I think RE5 full game will be very similar to the demo (for obvious reasons) which will therefore prohibit the game from being as good as DS.
