Crap, I meant the next xbox. Not the 360.
And those move engines INCREASES efficiency helping the system reach higher throughput levels. It doesn't "zap" them. Its going to be a wash I think. But as I said- the biggest difference will be the video cards since the video card in the in the PS4 is handily better than what is rumored to be in the newest Xbox.
You will never see the raw throughput numbers that GDDR5 can provide. I think MS knows this and it is why they went with slower and cheaper RAM but added the ESRAM and the 4 move engines that help eliminate the bottlenecks. Overall the APU inside of the system will probably not be able to max out the full 8 gigs of RAM anyway, let alone the APU being able to max out the pipeline in the PS4.
In the end I think it won't make a difference and you will see both the PS4 and t...
I had never heard of it till there was a video announcement on Steam the other day. When I noticed it was a stand alone expansion I decided I had to have it.
I thought the Nvidia Titan was the best GPU in the world??
Probably because all of the investors know that the always on thing is not what all the doomsayers are saying it is.
Bank of America has even tried to take people's homes (and in some cases succeeded only to lose in court later) from people that Bank of America NEVER OWNED TO BEGIN WITH!!!

I really don't agree that EA is the worst company in America. Even after ruining Command and Conquer 4.
Maybe my eyes are bad but I couldn't tell the difference in those comparisons. What I can tell is the difference between 720 and 1080. I would rather have a native higher rez than higher fps any day. But that is just my opinion.
Pfft. There a lot of us that are hunters that kill or raise our own animals and actually do the slaughtering ourselves. It doesn't change anything. It doesn't make us more violent. And it doesn't make me want to eat meat any less or not play "violent" video games.
I think it was probably a knee jerk reaction to MS's leaked 8gig specs. However I don't care one way or the other. I am happy with 8gigs no matter how it came to be.
I greatly preferred my Xbox360 over my PS3 this generation. But **if** the always online thing proves to be true then I will be getting the PS4 only. Which makes me sad because I really want to own both but I just don't live in an area with reliable enough internet to have an online only console.
I like how the combat is more action oriented without being completely hack and slash.
This PC can easily play BF3. My older PC could play BF3 just fine on high settings and it wasn't quite as good as the one in this article. My new PC however can run it in stereoscopic 3D with all settings on Ultra @1080p however. But my video card cost as much as this whole PC, so... yeah.
I was a much bigger fan of the 360 than the PS3 this generation. And even though I don't know a whole lot about the next xbox other than the current rumors and "leaked" specs but the PS4 is looking like it will get most of my money next gen unless the xbox just really isn't anything like what it is rumored to be at this point.
It is "the" largest of the markets on almost all fronts - http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
Numero uno. For now.
Do people just forget America is one of the largest markets for almost any consumer device? If it fails here it probably means disaster for the company promoting it.
And the author is right. We may have some markets that might be okay with an always connected console. But I know I will not bother buying the Xbox if this is the case. Not because I don't want it. But because I want to be able to use reliably what it is I purchase.
IF I had a choice I would NEVER choose Origin over Steam. But if I want to play certain games I have no choice but take your lame origin with it. Just like GFWL - NO ONE WANTS YOUR SH*TTY SERVICE!!!!!!!! We simply just don't have a choice.
That can't be a true. Many games are released for all platforms that do not integrate GFWL on the PC version.
No, that explained it well enough for me. I have a novice's understand of PC hardware and the like (been building my own for 15 years) just I was not sure how the move engine was being used. I guess just making the system more efficient would help more than adding raw throughput since the flops of performance thing is generally way over-rated in terms of what is "capable" vs. what is "actual". Thank you for your reply. +1 bubble
