Yes, I was underwhelmed by the PS2. The damn DVD drive broke on 3 different PS2s of mine, the graphics abilities were overshadowed by the Xbox AND the Gamecube, and the online abilities of the PS2 were MASSIVELY abysmal compared to the original Xbox.
So yes, when compared to the competition, I was underwhelmed by the PS2. I never said I didn't have lots of fun with my PS2. Just that compared to the competition it was a lame duck in the hardware department.
As someone who has been underwhelmed by the PS2 and the PS3 (compared to the competition) I can say that the PS4 is giving me the same vibe that the original PS gave me. I have not been this excited about a sony product since the original PS launch.
I remember having 5 (or was it 6?) discs on my PC to play the original Baldurs Gate.
A COMPETITIVE **MULTI-PLAYER** GAME DOES NOT "NEED" A SINGLE PLAYER COMPONENT!
I liked the story modes of those you listed. But the best multiplayer experience was generals. I bought the original CnC with my first paycheck as a kid and I have played all of them. My favorite quote from the video was "erase the stain of CNC4".
Bobby is talking about money. He knows money. People should listen to him when he talks about unknowns in relation to making money.
If he was talking about making games, making gamers happy, and other things gaming related at the point of being an end user I would ignore him.
I understand that Nintendo wasn't going for high end visuals hoping they would succeed in the same areas that the Wii did. Anyone expecting most of the visual heavy hitters to every appear on the WiiU doesn't have two brain cells to rub together.
I personally have zero interest in the WiiU because of the hardware under the hood is so outdated and little to no interest in their first party games. But I still think there is a market for the WiiU and even if it finishes...
I bought this game day one and loved it. Not enough end game content to keep my playing but the individual stories are a nice touch.
Dumbass review. This game is way better than a 6.5/10. Yes I know reviews are just opinions. But this seems like they went out of their way to complain about a good game. A $15 game at that.
The DL servers are separate from the game servers. But I did some reading this morning and hopefully all of the problems with the game servers are fixed because that sounds like a nightmare too.
Whatever. I can't wait to play this game.
I am Dling this right now. Beware! even though it does not DL at your peak rate it completely slows down your ENTIRE network to a crawl. I am doing the direct download. Maybe if you have torrent program to DL it with this may not be the case. I have the timewarner 20meg service and it takes me almost 20 seconds just to bring up a new webpage while DLing this game.
I hope so. This game promised to be amazing from the videos that were shown in the past couple of years.
I will mount mine from the ceiling.
^^ Me too. The Rift just seems more practical for gaming. But then again it takes double the processing power because it has to render the frames twice.
The article states that it has the ability to do a light scan and set the viewing area up for different sizes. I agree though. I have a rectangular shaped living room so I would have to change where my television is so that I get the best use of this tech.
I would LOVE to have this sort of immersion. I wonder how well this would work with stereoscopic 3D? I am still hoping they implement something like the Occulus Rift headset myself.
EDIT- I forgot to mention how nice it would be to watch movies and the like with this tech turned on.
Would I want DS2 to be released with better visuals, shorter load times, better physics? YES! Will it keep me from buying the game because it is released on current gen hardware? NOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But then again, I will be getting this for the PC anyway so what do I care what console it is released on?
I am unhappy they won't be showing something. But only because I love just about everything they have had a hand in so far.
It amazes me that Nintendo is even still in business.
I want what you are smoking.
