@darren
Find the part in the post I was replying to that had anything to do with the PC being dedicated to gaming.
He said 'PC's sales have been increasing over the last few years. NOT.'
not 'GAMING PC's sales have been increasing over the last few years. NOT.
I had tons of hardware issues with overheating in my 360 and PS3 last gen. 360 died more times than I can count, and the PS3 yellow lighted. Sometimes when a game came out there was a gamebreaking bug that you couldn't do jack about until a patch was released, where on PC I could have googled a user fix in 10 seconds. I had memory restriction issues as a result of getting day 1 versions of the PS3 and 360, where I was severely limited in storage capacity, something you could only improve ...
'$400-$500 pc wouldn't dwarf next gen consoles.'
It would offer around the same level of quality but offer more functional use per dollar
'In the end, it's all about the games.'
Which the PC has. Many, many of.
'No one really needs a pc is today's society'
Couldn't disagree more
And lets say iphone or tablet supplants a households need for a computer. Okay, those still cost money, around the same price as a cheap desktop PC that I mentioned earlier, so my price is still very much in the ballpark
But it does about 100 things more than a game console alone could do...such as browse the internet in a practical manner (I realize web browsing on consoles is an option, but its not practical for extended use its more like a quick google search until it becomes encumbering). You can download and launch all matter of software on the PC, you can play a gigantic spectrum of games including games from decades ago which the XB1 or PS4 cannot do unless specifically ported to the system, modular ca...
Number of households that have a console: ~50%
Number of households that have a PC: ~80% and rising
you can't really function in modern society without a PC. A console, you can do without. That is why PC sales will always dwarf console sales
Its a shooter, it looks and plays best on PC and thats the platform I'm gonna get it on, the true BF experience the way it was meant to be played since BF 1942.
This is comparing graphics between different versions of BF4, I should be able to compare it to the best version of BF4 graphics available
XB1 version looks less muddy, more clear, but has terrible aliasing. PS4 has better anti aliasing but everything is so muddy and blurry and the colors are messed up. Both versions don't hold a candle to the PC version at ultra, though
BF4 campaign is strictly a tool for marketing, to make trailers look interesting
I mean BF3 campaign was kind of terrible and tedious to play through but I appreciate campaigns like the bad company campaigns
you can easily see the difference between 900p and 1080p. Don't need a thousand bucks for that. Also medium settings on PS4, and lack of AA.
PC best version...then way down below you've got PS4 then you've got XB1
Oh please let clem be alright. I've been waiting months on a horrifying cliffhanger to see if she made it out alright
This is sort of why I feel indies getting locked up in exclusivity to the PS4 is a great disservice to the industry as a whole
This guy and frankie are my favorite
I've been listening to a ton of velvet underground lately...very unfortunate and coincidental that lou's passing coincided with my spontaneous desire to listen to his music. It's gonna be tough listening to sunday morning again
Very interesting. This could potentially drastically increase the capacity of lets players to output high resolution high setting gameplay, which is always nice
Well at least they're trying to get an interesting side mode after the widely successful nazi zombies for the treyarch games
-battlefield 4 at 720p on xbox 1
"graphics matter graphics matter graphics matter!"
-battlefield 4 at 900p on PS4
"graphics don't even matter guys!"
Oh how I love sony fanboy hypocrisy. PS4 and XB1 are both incredibly outdated pieces of hardware compared to even medium spec PCs, but of course that doesn't matter despite you guys bragging about resolution for the past couple weeks!
Beautiful, superb FOV, resolution, and graphics. This is how BF4 ought to be played
