No, PC gaming is cheaper in the long run. I get far more bang for my buck with a gaming PC than a single console.
When people say console gaming is cheaper all they look at is the initial price, and fail to account for subscription fee to play online, the, on average, higher price of games, the probability that you will upgrade your console at least once to a higher memory/slimmer model or repair it at least once, and after you consider all those costs console gaming equalize...

Yet they sure as hell got time to get them DLCs out the door two weeks early on the XB1. I don't care which platform you play on, but if you are shelling out 100+ dollars for this one game, you should get content first and your game should work
It probably has to do with gameplay reasons why 1 bullet to the head isn't a 1 hit kill. I mean if you wanted realism, getting shot once by any weapon should be enough to drop you

ah yes...the classic sony response when they are called out on their hypocrisy for championing graphics when comparing their hardware to the XB1, but suddenly having a complete reversal in opinion when comparing their hardware to even a medium spec PC. The game looks nice but the world itself looks unusually static. Some foliage moves when you interact with it, but the majority of the other things in the green forests, like all the trees and leaves and what not, is completely static. Any immersion provided by how beautiful the forest looks is quickly killed by this lack of movement. same thing happened with AC3, looked great but everything was too static
its only been 6 years since the last half life incursion, not that long imo. and its not as if valve has been twiddling their thumbs the whole time. They have been keeping busy providing gamers with tons of content, including CSGO and Portal 2.
The reason I think they're tight lipped about the next half life is a few reasons
1. the HL2 beta leak debacle
2. the huge community backlash at pushing out L4D2 super early within a year of L4D1
