It is not the same experience. You are utterly deluded if you think 4k resolution at ultra offers the same experience as a measly 900p at medium. You can do a lot of things with money spent on gaming. But its his cash and hes putting the most into his system, so hes getting the best experience possible out of it. I mean you could argue all day that the money could be allocated elsewhere, but you really can't say anything tops his experience in the game.

Yeah I don't see how you concluded that saying "it looks better on my pc!" conveys a sense of entitlement. Maybe a sense of superiority, but not entitlement. And generally, yeah, games do look better on a PC that has better hardware than a console counterpart. We pay for better hardware, so we get the better looking version of the game.
more like PC for work and play and consoles for play. Consoles only do that well while PC exceeds in both realms
PC should be the base unit, and consoles should be the addition. You can fulfill far, far more gaming needs with a single gaming PC than any one console. With PC you can play pretty much the best version of all multiplatforms, PC exclusives, and all games from years past. With next gen consoles you can't play games from your PS3 or PS2 or PS1 unless specifically ported, and you play an inferior version of multiplatform games, but you do get the console exclusives.

Not to mention PCs have far greater functional use per dollar than a console. Its impractical to browse the internet on a console for more than a google search, and you can't launch or open programs such as photoshop or Microsoft word like on a regular PC. So at like a 600-800 dollar price, you got something that blows away PS4 and XB1 in terms of graphical power as well as blowing them away in functional use for things other than gaming.
