Sony's strategy to steal some of the 3DS's thunder by announcing the NGP just prior to the 3DS's release was savy marketing.
I can't believe it isn't one of the named factors...
A fair few of my mates who were intent on getting the 3DS at launch are now waiting it out to see what the NGP has to offer.
BG & Evil 2, MW3, GTA 5, Warhawk 2 or a new Halo.
Its probably one of the above.
Bioshock 2 may not have been as good as the first,
but it was still an excellent game, in which I throughly enjoyed playing.
Red dead redemption also used a combination of RAGE and euphoria
Euphoria's realistic movements allowed R* to introduce animals to their games.
3D seems to have been a poor choice for Nintendo.
The 7+ age rating will alienate a lot of parents buying for their children, and what sensible parent would buy a $250 device for a kid under 12?
And as for the 3DS giving people headaches, just wait for sensationalist newpapers and channels (i.e Fox and tabloids) to totally exaggerate it further. Hence frightening off more of the Nintendo audience.
3DS has to the potential to be either a runaw...
I would sacrafice 64 player maps and dx11 in BF3, just for the chance to play 5 minutes of Uncharted 3.
Sorry couldn't resist.
Portal 2 is going to be amazing btw.
'We know nothing about the PSP2's library, so let's wait.'
What are you on about? Have you not seen the gameplay trailers?
Watch this.

Aye.
Alan Wake, Resi 4 & Amnesia.
The PSP is 6 years old, which means its a relic in technology terms, while the Pandora is a brand new device.
Its at least a year too late and it costs $500! Its already antiquated.
Handheld consoles such as the NGP, gaming netbooks such as the M11X and even the 1ghz, AMOLED Samsung Galaxy S smartphones are a generation ahead of this.
@dasteru
I'am a PSP fanboy?
Good thing I no longer own one and have a 3DS instead then!
'No it cant, the psp doesnt't have anywhere near the power to emulate ps1, n64'
Just to let you know the CFW PSPs can perfectly emulate pretty much every game in the PSOne library. I remember I had MGS, the Crash Bandicoot trilogy & all the Resident Evils on my memory stick at one point.
Also the PSP has had a N64 emulat...
A 6 year old CFW PSP can emulate all the games that this piece of crap can do, and it plays PSP games.
CoD is a love/hate thing for most people (me included).
I passed up on Black Ops, but I will definitely buy MW3 day 1 for the NGP.
It doesn't matter if hes black, white or friggin indigo.
If a store owner is suspicious of individuals lurking around the front of their store then they have every right to call the cops. The employee that rang the police probably wasn't even aware of the 3DS's release.
Better safe than sorry.
I didn't think Crysis 2 could be done on consoles and still look and sound amazing. I was wrong.
Hopefully CD Projekt will take a leaf out of Cryteks book, and do a simultaneously developed version of Witcher 2 on PCs and consoles.
Wait till you've actually completed it, then comment.
From Time Square on, its fricking mindblowing!
The MP may not be 100% polished, but my dear god is the Single player campaign unbelievably brilliant!
It is my opinion, easily the greatest FPS since COD4.
The campaign starts off a little slow and conventional, but once it gets going it just keeps and getting better and better! The final levels are breathtaking (and I was playing the 360 version) and the length of the SP alone is worth the price (on medium mode took me a good 12-14 hours to finish. And I wan...
Cryengine 3's amazing first iteration on consoles is Crysis 2.
Compare how much of an improvement has been made between UT3 (one of the first Unreal 3's games) and Gears 3 or Bioshock Infinite.
Hopefully further games will adapt and push Cryengine to its limit on consoles.
I don't understand why devs still persist with Unreal, when there is a superior engine available. Imagine Mass Effect (another EA published game) using CryEngi...
Alcatraz (Prophet) IS better than Duke.
Portal 2 and LA Noire are guaranteed to be amazing.
Both Valve and R* have near immaculate records, so I see no reason why they would change now.
The rest on the list have the potential to flop.
Duke Nukem could turn out to be a bit of an Alien 3.
Talented people at the helm, but there have been too fingers interfering in the pie....
