I'm not the biggest Apple fan.
But I had a lot of respect for Steve Jobs and all the work that he has done.
How many other CEOs of multinational corporations can you say that about?
RIP.
Exactly, Resident Evil 5 was very good game (with albeit dated controls) up until the subterranean temples, but once the 'infected' started pointing mirror incendiary beams & started kitting themselves out in army fatigues, I knew this game had really fallen from the lofty heights of RE4.
I wouldn't exactly call it overlooked. I remember a lot of people talked about it after the 360 launched. But that was nearly 6 years ago, so what do you expect.
It obviously sold enough on the Xbox to warrant a PC release & later, a multiplatform sequel.
My local game store broke the street release yesterday & I've had my PS3 copy since last night.
And I can reassure you just like 21 out of the 24 reviewers that you posted, that this game is at the very least a 7/10.
Majorities tend to right.
If he thinks that's unrealistic, then I don't think he is going to be a big fan of regenerative health.
I know that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but,
this is a 7+/10 game. Regardless of how disappointed the reviewer was.
It's a relief to see at least Crytek investing in the future.
They also have invested heavily in cloud gaming, but are waiting for broadband networks to improve worldwide before rolling it out.
@limewax:
I love the fact that you, yourself, have commented on N4G, expressing your own opinion on how you consider other peoples opinions to be worthless. And then you have the audacity to attempt to insult other people's intelligence. Hippocrates are generally too stupid & pig ignorant to realize that aren't exactly the brightest spark in box.
Yeah your right I have never worked as a dev for a studio, however I have worked for 18 months as a so...
With any other company or game I wouldn't give a crap about the beta, because after all a beta is incomplete code used for testing & demoing purposes only.
But EA & DICE have been talking so much trash & overhyping the hell out of BF3 in the media over the past 6 months, that it's kind of satisfying watching them fumbling about trying to cover their tracks.
Every day on N4G; DICE: Battlefield 3 is the greatest game ever. ect...ect...
Hopefully 'if' Black Mesa Source ever gets released, then that will be enough to keep us tide over till Episode 3 (or Half Life 3, or whatever the hell Valve decide to call it) gets a proper reveal.
Well a lot of FIFA gamers I know only spend about 50 quid a year on video games, and guess what they spend that fifty on?
As long as it has an updated player roster & slightly better graphics, they don't really care too much about anything else!
@deadpoole:
Like it or not most modern day betas are treated as demos by a large proportion of gamers.
DICE & EA should have just kept it closed for people who pre-ordered the game & actually understand the concept of a beta. And then there would be no fuss, and DICE would be able to test out the network and iron out the bugs, without being distracted by idiots mouthing off.
I'm gonna steer clear of the Pale.
If they could improve Onlive so that it seamlessly streams games running on their max settings then it could be the future of gaming.
Imagine being able to play Battlefield 3 maxed out with DX11 for just $99 (the cost of an Onlive device)? And in one stroke it would eliminate piracy & retailers ripping off customers.
Fibre optic infrastructures need to improve across the world, for it to be worth developers time though. I believe that Crytek were developi...
But hey at least Russia has the numbers, arsenal & oil required for a full scale invasion of the US.
North Korea has an ill-equipped army that is incapable of developing a working cruise missile. They aren't exactly a world beater, especially considering half the country is under the threat of famine & it's people are on the brink of starvation.
'In other words, this is not due to Sony as they didn’t send a cease and desist to the team'
Why would Sony send out a cease and desist for the breach of copyright on an IP that they haven't owned since 2003!
'in exchange'
To anyone who hasn't played Bioshock, I only have one thing to say to them.
'Would you kindly go out and buy it.'
Up next on Velocitygamer.
Battlefield 3 versus Mass Effect 3. (they both have 3 in the title so they must be in the same genre).
Just wait and see all the fanboys crawl out of the woodwork. like retarded woodlice, sniffing out a fresh piece of flamebait.
Yes, because all generic FPSs have RPG elements such as weapon crafting & character upgrade systems, epic boss battles & refined driving & racing segments.
Yup sounds likes a quintessential generic FPS.
