Not all of the 300 hours is spent fighting dragons & storming castles. That includes all the mundane missions such as picking flowers, mining ore & acting as a courier.
I think 30 hours of gameplay would give you a decent enough idea of what the game is actually like.

RDR had a great MP mode, that blended in organically with the SP mode. And hopefully with Max Payne's refined shooting mechanics, this can take it one step further.
All the games in this list are great with the exception of Modern Warfare 3, I would have definitely put in Deus Ex Human Revolution in, instead of it. COD4 deserves it's place in here though, but not at number 1.

Crysis & Uncharted both came out on the same week back in Nov 2007. So I think thats a pretty bad example.

I thought GTA 1, 2, 3, Vice City, San Andreas as well as Bully, Manhunt, Max Payne 2 & 3, R* Table Tennis & Red Dead Redemption proved that Rockstar has the balls to make good games.

Hopefully all the small hick towns in the countryside, that were in San Andreas will be back again. I loved getting out of the urban environments, and hitting the free state.
