Uncharted 2 has sold 4.9 million copies.
While the first 3 Crash games (developed by ND as well) sold close to 15 million units.
And the Jak series has sold nearly 8 million copies.
(None of these sales include 2nd hand sales)
Yeah Naughty Dog are really living on the breadline, and can totally justify an online pass. /sarc
To save people some time, the author of the article says that a 'reliable' source told him that the release date of the Vita (he doesn't even specify if it's the US or UK release) is the 12th of January.
How about the millions of PS3 & 360 owners in countries with poor broadband infrastructures.
They are literately missing out on 10% of a single player game that they paid 60 euros (or whatever the equivalent currency is) for.
The guy that previewed this doesn't know jack-shit about Max Payne.
He's spends half of this 'preview' talking about nothing & how cool it was that the Rockstar PR guy was from NJ.
And when he does actually talk about the gameplay, his description is incredibly vague & not in the least bit insightful.
@drummerx2709:
So you pretty much called RedDragan, an emotionless autistic spazoid.
The developers & publishers don't earn a cent back from the 2nd hand copies. All you're money goes straight into the coffers of the retailer (i.e. Gamestop).
But then again, at least you have made the effort to purchase a copy in a legitimate manner, and you actually handed over money...
Games go gold a few weeks before their release, and in order for the publisher to meet the demands of the retailers, they generally ship out the the copies a 1-2 weeks before the street date.
And then some Gamestop employee get's their hands on a copy or some smaller game retailer breaks the street date in order to outsell the big boys, somebody buys a copy and then they up it online.

GT5 looks dated?

How can you claim that this claim that this looks dated?
Uncharted is the perfect film candidate. That's why Sony are so eager to bring it to the big screen.
I'm sure Neil Burger will do a great job with it.
Also Bioshock has serious potential for the big screen, but unfortunately the studios don't want a film with a R rating. That's why its been put on hiatus...even though it has backing from the likes of Guillermo del Toro and some of Hollywood's best producers.
I have a 15mb data package with my phone. So I'm going to buy d Wifi version and then just use my phone as a Wifi hotspot if I want online on d go.
So that means I save cash on my Vita & I don't have to pay for another data package!
Lets not forget that consoles are 2006 hardware and people are comparing a $20 downloadable title against heavily modified versions of Crysis running on top end 2011 gaming PCs. I think a fairer comparison would be to compare an unmodded version of Crysis running on a mid-tier 2006 PC, and see how it stacks up.
This is a great looking PSN (and XBLA) title that is loads of fun to play
It'll still be interesting to see how GT5 (with the new 2.0 update) fares up against Forza 4.
Also we must not forget the separate co-op campaign mode ,that is playable offline, which also has a story that ties-in loosely with the main campaign.
9 hours is a good time for a campaign playthrough in this gen.
And what a glorious, epic 9 hours it will be.
I have a sneaking suspicion that PirateThom has already played WRC2....
The same could be said about any handheld console ever released. I'm sure people said 'Why would you want to play SNES games on your Gameboy when you can play them at home on your TV?'
It's obviously an excellent game,
but I just don't have the patience required to play it!
GT5 does some features better (track editor, rallying, 3D, weather effects) while Forza 4 (judging by the demo) does other things better (presentation, more premium cars, music, AI).
Any true car fanatic should own both.
Regardless of your console preference.
Keep dreaming Rocksteady, Titus Software already made the perfect Superman game.
Superman 64 rocks the socks off Batman Arkham City.

“We have to pay for servers and all this different stuff to maintain it, and so at some point, you know, games have to make money.”
I'm not bitching, I just pointing out that ND have made a lot of money over the year from the games that they have developed (and deservedly so), while they have a small team of 90 at the studio, which means that they have less overheads than most other AAA studios. They are trying to justify Online Passes as...
