With all due respect, but Battlefield is now taking the route that Call of Duty has been taking for the past decade or so.
It's way too soon for a sequel to Battlefield 3, yet at our doorstep we can find Battlefield 4. It's even in the same era. What is it going to offer?
I would've rather had Bad Company 3.
Gives me a reason to break out the Xbox 360 controller for my PC. Can't wait. ^_^
"and stop comparing it to a better game"
That has to be the worst attempt at trying to hide fanboyism in years.
All platforms will benefit from the upcoming power increase of the next generation. Consoles will be able to do what PC's already could, like supporting bigger maps and a larger amount of players in multiplayer games, whilst the PC variants of multi-platform titles could become very well optimized and look even more stunning because of that.
I would kill for an XL variant of the Pikachu 3DS. Here's hoping it will arrive in Europe as well.
@SDF Reppellent
I highly doubt that someone would lose three bubbles because of a user base you just described. I've had my fair share of disagrees, but I still have my bubbles.
Damn, why so many dislikes? Are you all that butthurt that I mentioned I would like a console game to also appear for PC? Do you know why I said it? Because I find the game to be awesome and I would love to play it, but I don't have a PS3.
Fine then, don't mention anything on PC to come to the PS4 then either. Oh, wait, what's that about Diablo III? Yeah, I thought so.
Almost makes me hope the game would come to PC. One can only dream.
No matter how you look at it, the Wii U is in trouble. Is it beyond fixing? Hell no. If Ninty shakes this year's E3 with a ton of new games, including the long-awaited reveal of the new Super Smash Bros., they will be fine.
If they don't... well... then they're toast.
It might not sell as well because of the financial crisis, but that would be the only reason then.
I loved DJ Hero. Not only did it bring something new to the table, it also united two of my favourite things in general.
One game comes along that goes really well with AMD cards and it immediately means Nvidia is in trouble? Yeah, seems legit.
Wow, three disagrees already. Do people really not understand what I mean? The PC platform is currently capable of things that the consoles aren't. Take BF3, for example. The PC allows for 64 players, the consoles don't. With the PS4 and Xbox 720 DICE can deliver that 64 player experience on the consoles.
When the PS4 and Xbox 720 launch they will be on par with the PC for a couple of years and then the platforms slowly start to drift apart again in terms of raw power.
I'm looking forward to the period that they are indeed on the same level, because this will benefit all of the platforms.
Instead of one platform holding the others back you will have an equal and overall better experience.
Like I said, we'll never ever have a golden age like the one we had back then. Currently we are indeed in a golden age, like you just said, but it's way different, both in positive and negative ways.
We will never ever have another golden age of gaming like the one we had in the 70, 80's and even the 90's. The reason games were so special back then is because of the limitations of the consoles. You had to put thought into the design of your game to make things work.
Nowadays it's all about shiny graphics and who has the biggest engine to boast with. Blegh.
The lay-out of the actual article could use some work, but the Q&A was a good read nonetheless. Watch Dogs has me by the balls and it better not disappoint.
Not greedy? The yearly releases of Assassin's Creed say otherwise.
I hope it doesn't feature Last Stand.
I can't wait for Just Cause 3. I absolutely adored the second one. It was one those few open world games that actually rewarded you for messing around. That's an important element in such games. Some people just want to drive around, enjoy the scenery and occasionally crash an airplane into a general.
