Agreed, Zelda II is not as good as the others, but it's not bad either. Besides, it was the second game in the entire series when it first came out. There wasn't a standard yet.
Not surprising when most of his work is Metal Gear related. Yes, he also made Zone of the Enders and a couple of other great games, but Miyamoto has worked on way more franchises.

Honestly, MW3 does bring back a tiny bit of the COD4 feeling. I can't deny that.

On the other hand, in Black Ops you had to choose between Hacker or Ninja. You were either silent or undetectable by motion sensors. That was a good trade-off.
