How did this get through?
I admire everyone's optimism, I really do, but I honestly think Rockstar would only be hurting themselves with a next-gen port. Most people who want GTA V in the first place will get it on the current-gen consoles. Sure, the ability to play it on your PS4 or XBO is useful, but I doubt Rockstar would want to invest in them right now.
You're honestly expecting GTA V to appear on next-gen consoles? Best joke of 2013 so far.
Okay, now you're cracking me up. I am the kind of guy who runs Flak Jacket all the time, not the explosives. Yes, they were a definite problem in MW2, but no longer in MW3. The GL now almost always requires two hits to kill in the latter game. Danger Close won't magically make them as powerful as their brethren in MW2. They also cannot be replenished anymore with Scavenger. There is no way that Danger Close could even come close to becoming as big of a threat as it was in MW2.
Danger Close isn't that big of a big deal. You're probably forgetting how weak the explosives were in MW3. With Danger Close they would actually be usable again and probably on the same level as BOII's explosives.
Also, keep in mind that when picking the Danger Close perk, which costs a hefty 3 points, you are giving up other major perks to use it. You're left with only 5 points after picking just one perk.
With Blast Shield available as well ...
Of course they're going to bring back "old" stuff. Ghosts isn't about being something new; it's about taking the good things from several games in the series and presenting them in the best possible way. Elements from MW, MW2, MW3 and even BOII are returning.
I actually love the return of all these perks, because of the way they are chosen this time around. No longer are we bound to three tiers with one perk each, which used to cause everyone to use just...
@USA007
Those are fine additions, but, in my honest opinion, only the five man squads make a tremendous difference. To be fair, I had actually forgotten about that and it's one of the many reasons I am excited for BF4.
Can't we all just agree that BF4 and Ghosts are carefully tweaked mixes of the best games in their respective series? I am actually glad that BF4 is taking lessons from BC2 and that Ghosts looks and, as far as I can tell, feels more like MW2 aga...
@AO1JMM
Yes, it is most definitely an assumption. It is also the most logical one, since this year it's once again BF vs. COD and most fanboys of the former party tend to glorify BF4. I am looking forward to it just as much, but I also laugh a little inside when I see so many features from BC2 and BF2 return that people were screaming for all these years in BF3, yet it's claimed that BF4 is doing new things. Right...
@USA007
Effectively the only differ...
As if BF4 is doing a lot of "new" things. If you want to hate on COD, also hate on the other sequels that, by far, aren't as innovative as most people claim.
Call of Duty IS run and gun. If you don't like, don't play it.
I like Call of Duty's gameplay and I can't deny that Ghosts has caught my attention after the multiplayer reveal. If the game sports dedicated servers on PC I will definitely be considering a purchase.
I honestly only clicked on this because of the boobs.
Handheld market is shrinking? Please explain the 35 million 3DS handhelds that have been sold then.
You hit the nail right on the head. The Wii U is getting a barrage of great games soon and yet people are still claiming it's doomed. So typical.
And what most of you don't realize is that when you upgrade your PC you don't have to buy an entirely new PC with tons of new components. Usually, the only thing you have to upgrade is your CPU, RAM and motherboard or your GPU.
The myth that maintaining a PC costs thousands of dollars is bullshit. Sure, you can take it that far, but that's possible for consoles as well. In the long run, PC will always be cheaper, mostly because of the software and services.
I'm not here to debate that PC has more or better exclusives than consoles, in fact, I'd say Nintendo has the best and most. However, that's just my opinion, because I happen to love their games.
But claiming that consoles are miles better than PC in terms of games is absolute bullshit. The PC has amazing games that brings it at the very least up to par with any other platform.
The Half-Life series would like to have a word with you.
"But that series is available on consoles!"
Yes, as a broken, half-assed port.
"knowing every game will run great with no problems or errors"
As if every game ran flawlessly on consoles this generation. All platforms had their issues. PC having the most is the fault of developers and not the platforms themselves.
The PS4 alone might be cheaper, but when you include all accessoires and perhaps even the purchase of an HDTV you're pretty much on par with an average, yet powerful gaming PC.
Someone appears to be butthurt.
