The disc memory capacity isn't enough for us to have More Interactive Movie Games.

Unless the game is on two disc. Also, I think the current gen hardware are powerful enough to display superb graphics on screen, but with very limited game play mechanic. maybe next Gen we'll have both.

I personally don't think many of you would like having every game that come out with the same(or similar) restricted game play.

I think MS are being too modest. This isn't just a software upgrade for the x1, its also an upgrade to unlock some of the X1's hardware(custom built) features too.

I would buy myself an x1 for Battletoads anyday.

Rare were known for their incredible SGI graphics, and it has since became their trade mark after they released KI.

So it possible Rare might take that same path again with Battletoads.

I love Sega and always have, but I think sega has become like the guy who only fixes pot holes here and there.

I really wish Sega would make a new virtual fighter game.

I'm a little late on my commit, but I don't think Project Cars was delayed for 3 weeks to fix bugs in the game like some of you have said. To fix bugs in a game normally require lots of work which could take several months of leg work to sort out.

A two/three weeks delayed necessarily means the project needs very minimal polished or to add addition of a feature to make a project better.

Indeed it does look fun. I watched some game play footage of Kirby on YT, and I gotta say this game looks amazing.

The art direction of the last guardian seems to be geared toward Japanese taste. They like weird looking mystical creature and demonic looking monsters in a horror film/game.

The shadow of the colossus art direction seems to geared toward a more wider range of ethnic audience.

TLG seems to be a game project that is done with honor. I believe ICO are going to put their heart and soul in to this project that its going to make Japanese gamers cry with joy.

Agreed, today it just a pinch on the arm, tomorrow it'd be something far worst than a punch in the head.

The biggest syndrome that man has "we always want to make a change when its too late"

@arkard

You're right on that note. But DX12 supports more than one GPU. you never said which GPU.

Either way, smart software does bring down cost.

If what I said wasn't true you would be paying a lot more money for PSN/XBL.

They run lots Virtual machine(software based) on their servers which helps bring down the cost of your monthly subscription.

I agree with everything you said except for the part about the texture/poly count/higher rez.

If you noticed in the Fable Legend demo, most objects had a very low of amount of polygon everywhere in the environments. This can be accomplished with smart lighting/effects. In fable legends, it has direct and indirect lighting which makes it easier to use low poly objects look good. As for the textures, DX12's enhanced tiled resources texture rendering system can allow a dx12 ...

Of course 256 MB of Rambus Ram. a total of 512 256cpu 256 for gpu.

Rambus is really fast(expensive) ram.

With high clock speed its no wonder better compared to the 360.

Why you asked?

4142d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

I've taken the time to read more about tiled resources and all along(under my nose) I did not know that feature is similar to the rendering technique of the 90's. The revival of the Power VR.

That's huge.

Its about time. DX12 is going to do some incredible stuff guys.

actually its the opposites.

Smart software bring down the cost.

Only the artist/creator themselves would know what their mistake are.

Kind of like looking at an artists painting or art piece. There are mistakes in there, but you'll never know b/c again only the person who created it would know what mistake are there.

The wii U has two gigs of ram.

The wii U OS uses about 1gigs of memory, and 1gigs of ram for gaming. By judging by Zelda wii U graphics/effects/open world environment 1 gigs ram usage to pull that off is incredible.

There has been be some some explanation.....

I agree with R@D b/c new ideas and art concept that hasn't been illustrated in the entertainment industry as often(or ever) needs to be explained to people.

Some ideas are self explanatory, and some are not. That just the way it is.

Zelda Wii U's Open World Is as Big as the System Can Handle.

I'm really curious as to how Nintendo accomplished this with very little RAM.

Nintendo got some serious optimization skills to pull this off.

This sounds a lot better. However, its still no where near as good as the real thing. of course, this is a video game.

LOL

I'm really surprised many of you can't tell DC/FH2 engine sounds were downgraded.

No mis-fire, hardly any sounds from the car's muffler, etc.

EDIT: the imperfections in sounds aren't present. That's the beauty of any sounds.

4142d ago 1 agree8 disagreeView comment

DC engine sounds sounds more realistic than FH2 engines sounds.

However, I think both of them fail at presenting what a car engine suppose to sounds like, especially under different conditions.

Doppler effect are missing in both. This is very important in a car game b/c it give the players the Illustration time vs distance sound wise.
