I don't care who ya are, x86 and directx11 is going to be a great era in gaming.
Doubtful consoles with let pc gamer play together online. Skilled mouse and keyboard users have a big advantage over controller users (they actually have done studies and tournaments to show it). Not too mention pc gamers possibly bringing in cheat codes into the game much easier than console users can.
Why would it matter if it's a sequel exclusive or an exclusive from the beginning? That's really grasping for straws right there.
For sony, ms, and the pc platform, that x86 cpu goodness is gunna make multiplatforms buttery smooth to make.

Except the fatal flaw in your sony offline theory is that sony has not officially announced their used game policy, nor their online policies.
We only have their past practices (which is positive) and rumors at this point in time.
There are some cutting edge android games on the NVidia menu that aren't too expensive.

I agree with Hellvaguy and from the rumors you hear from devs about the power of each.
Beyond 3-4gb is nearly worthless tbh (let alone ddr5). My higher end 1080p gaming pc never goes over 4gb ram while using windows OS which is a ram hog.
I do like the (supposedly) faster ps3 cpu/gpu but since they yet to announce their intentions with playing used games and if online is once again free, we just don't know for sure.
Niether next gen console will have bc from your game disks because of the new x86 cpu. They both said that publically now.
But I think both companies left it somewhat foggy how there were going to handle online items.

Or replace the Gamepad with the ps4 gimic touchpad. Personally, I don't care for motion or touch anything that all next-gen consoles are trying to push on us due to all the casuals that flocked to the Wii.

It does look bigger from the pics, but maybe for improved cooling. Could be why sony is all hush about their design also, because its bigger because x86 needing more cooling.
On the same token of being hush, I don't think it's good that ms didn't announced the cpu/gpu specs. To me anything keep secret is genereally going to be a bad thing
China as a consumer is irrelevant. The communist government doesn't allow for products to be sold there anyway, nor can you have free access to the interwebs (only the gov controlled/censored web).

I don't like Kinect, but in fairness I don't like the ps4 touch controller either. Not sure why these companies force these gimics on us. I blame the success of the motion wii for a lot of this nonsense.

Aka x86 cpu, bluray, not backwards compatible on either system. I don't buy into Kinect or that touch controller for the ps4, since those both are a gimic bust for me. Sony def holds an edge if online is free again, but neither side has confirmed either way on that.

I like every change to it, except for the rainbow colored letters on the buttons. I'd much prefer a cooler color scheme, bit it's a very minor grip and I'm sure that will be many a color variations down the road to pick from.
You really shud be installing the games you play most to the hard drive anyway. Load times are faster and less wear and tear on your Blu-ray player.
I installed all my 360 games and that only had a 250gb hard drive. But I mean obviously next-gen gunna get bigger and bigger installs, but I don't really need 20+ games installed to play on demand. Most i'll ever play at once is maybe 2-4, before moving on to something else.
All next gen are by far evolutionary, with a very small side of revolutionary.
But then again, isn't that what's really best for gamers? You wouldn't want console A having a patent lockdown on say dual analog controls or hdmi port.
