@Catoplepas

You feel better about your console now after venting and posting a troll nothing whatsoever to do with the article. Good, so glad that made you feel better. Now run along.

The dangers of not being able to sign in online?

Is suddenly playing a video game equivalent to a meth addiction, where if you cannot log in you will have severe withdrawal symptoms and go nuts?

Well the most played game on any console is Mario brothers. So what exactly is your point?

$4500 wow that's a cool make believe number right there. Unfortunately that's not a reality based gaming pc, you must be specing a supercomputer to do weather predictions or something of this nature.

In your make non-reality based world your economics are way off. By about double by my estimates of pc building. With that said yes, $2,250 is still very expensive. If your willing to connect about the 8 essential pc components yourself, spending even $800 gets you a lot ...

Wow by Killzone really? Last I checked Killzone could not be played in 1080p or 4k resolution, so it seems your fanboyism is just a bit over the top here. Think you need to reel it in a bit.

Looks real fun. Article title is horrible and needs to be changed.

GTX 690 is already a dual card. So if you went sli with it, that would really be doing a quad sli. That is definitely gunna suck some power from the outlet.

There's only a very small segment of pc users that want to deal with the headaches and cost of a fully cooled water system. So I wouldn't use that as a baseline comparison.

If you were too pay a customized pc shop to build you water cooling, it's about $1000 more expensive for that feature (probably half that if you do it yourself). Spendy.

"3000 dollars of graphic card in my pc"

Of course you don't, there's no such thing as a $3,000 gaming gpu on the market currently. Lol way to emo exaggerate.

FYI just to bring your monetary scale back into reality, you can go buy a $200 desktop graphics card right now, that's more powerful that the laptop version gpu's that consoles will have in 6 months from now.

But as we all know, hardware is only as good as the s...

@Wutchugunnado

I agree except I'd use an intel cpu and spring for a solid state hard drive.

How exactly would you be building a laptop? I mean that's what this thread is about. Not about building a desktop which obviously is cheaper to do and more powerful.

@Skate-AK

He probably meant now it's mid-range after owning it for almost a year. I kinda thought that part was obvious myself.

Anyways to get a decent gaming laptop I'd say $900-1200 is right about the mid-point. I mean you can spend $700 on a low end one or $2500 for an overpriced alienware.

Somewhat different, but not totally different. I mean after all, console parts are just modified laptop parts running on a console OS instead of windows, Linux, or apple OS.

The biggest difference comes from gaming devs being able to code for one set of hardware specs vs thousands of pc configurations.

"Not a word."

What you should have typed was: It isn't a word. But actually you would be wrong in this instance too because it is a word. It should have been spelt "conventionally". Your trolling over one extra letter that was added.

Everyone copies each other to a certain degree, that's just fact. Sony copied Nintendo by making a game console and Im pretty sure Sony didn't invent the t.v., but they big into it. O btw MS did take the world by storm with about 90% users going with windows OS (you did say nothing). MS prolly copied apple by making a pc OS.

Let's not pretend everyone for a sec is original just to try and make some fanboy argument, because it just fails for whoever does it. Just g...

Lol better get that tin foil hat on, they gunna watch all several million customers at once. And if you don't buy 720, you know MS just gunna hack your camera on your laptop or desktop to find out why your didn't buy one....obviously.

Lets be more reasonable (or just pretend for some people), Kinect is prolly on so you can bark commands at it. I can understand people not wanting that aspect because I personally don't either. But you really cross the crazy line whe...

" let the guy do what he wants with the items he's obtained, probably purchased"

I wonder if this logic would hold up with a pedophile posting child porn videos. It's really amazing how much being a fanboy can cloud your judgement and common sense.

Ok I understand the paranoid feeling and how some people wear tin foil hats etc. What I don't get is when the paranoid feelings just defy common sense.

Do you really is any way, shape, or form believe any business executives would be sitting around a large table constantly scanning people's Kinect cameras and making business decisions off of what they are viewing?

And not too mention, who ever said Kinect 2.0 would ever constantly be on with no opti...

No system is perfect but it certainly is more inconvient on a console. Plus MS has ways to notice if you have a hacked game, so if you try to play it online, they perma ban your console.

PC does have a few tricks up its sleeve to combat piracy, but its no where near as effective. And lots of pc exclusive studios have went bankrupt or been forced to go multiplatform with console releases. That's common news and any google can show articles about pc devs saying the same. <...

um a 670 is an overkill for single monitor 1080p. so ya....

most of games I play on ultra are at 100-120 fps with my 670. maybe if yur idk skyrim with 70-100 mods I suppose it would max out or using 120 mhz (which theres like only 2 models that do that and none in higher rez than 1080p).

so from personally using 670, not just believing in hype, yes beyond that is an overkill 1080p for current games. in 3-4 years, maybe not, but all these cards will be like $...
