How to judge a Top 100 list based on Final Fantasy games: If the list has 7 rated better than FF4 FF5 or FF6, then just ignore it.
I suppose it could happen. If you look at recent history the PS1 sold over 100 million units world wide and the PS2 a staggering 120 million... But I can't see the PS3 hitting the 50-60 million mark, nor the 360, but the Wii might.
Microsoft is desperately trying to convince everyone of their own relevance in this console generation and the question is... Why? I could understand if they were doing badly but they're not. It's like you're watching some type of sporting event and a strong player keeps trying to tell you he's good... Yes, we know you're good, so maybe you're not the superstar (Wii) but you're still a major contender here... What's the problem?

Ninja Gaiden 2 for the NES? Hard? Who are they kidding. It's not even remotely hard compared to the first one and the first one is not particularly challenging... NG2 was easy.
We've gone from episodic content to "It's nearly a whole game by itself", by the time April 29th rolls around they'll be claiming that it's Grand Theft Auto 5. You're getting a COMPLETE game no matter which system you buy it for.
With all of the many impressive features of this game I'm not sure why this particular one is worthy of getting that excited about.
Like it or not the main benefit of the RROD has been to move more 360s off the shelves. You know perfectly well that out of the millions sold at least 100,000-300,000 of those were people that bought new ones and I believe if you'll check you'll find that even people who got free replacement consoles due to store warranty are counted as 'sold'. If all 360s that were sold still worked it would probably cut in to total 360 sales by at least a million units.
If this is as fake as is being claimed, did it ever occur to you that advanced copies sent for review might not contain this hologram thing? These are not copies meant for public sale and distribution you know. It probably is fake but if this is the best "reason" you can think of then... please...
Two thoughts here...
First of all crimes like this happen because of stupid people. Stupid people come in all colors, both genders, all religions, and they can be rich, poor or anything in between. There is no 'group' of people out there that does not contain it's fair share of stupid people and that includes people who play video games. Microsoft has tried everything but short of calling the exclusive content Grand Theft Auto 5 in order to convince people. I have no idea why they are in such a panic over this.
A little known but great NES title was "Guardian Legend", I probably played that game as much if not more than any NES game I ever owned. Though I agree if they put out a decent Marble Madness clone with enough levels I'd snap it up too.

I find it very strange indeed that absolutely none of this came out while the format war was still going strong and then all of a sudden after the Microsoft backed format loses they "didn't care" or "never really wanted to win" or that ultimate crazy spin of "Blu-Ray a win for Microsoft". This strikes me as yet more spin control over a loss.

If I had to pick a number one console, I'd go with the NES because realistically that console did more for consoles than any other did. When the NES came out the whole idea of home based video game systems was dying and then suddenly Nintendo was a house hold name. Without Nintendo to pave the way, there might have been a huge lapse in console gaming for years.
