Wii "to trump" the PS3 and 360? What's this "to trump" thing they speak of as if it hasn't happened already?
"Shortages", that's there excuse and they're sticking to it. For the last six months or more I could have walked out of most retail outlets with a 360 or a PS3 on any given day but now Microsoft is claiming there was a shortage of their console? Please get real.
You know at least when SNK went 3D they made some attempt at creating a new King of Fighters game rather than simply remaking one of their old ones from a decade ago.
I think it would be more fair to compare the PS3 and 360 to the games the 360 had during its first year and not when everyone went bandwagon to take advantage of its market share. As for the Wii, once again you have the bandwagon mentality but I think another great part of the problem there is the number of gimmicky games that seem designed just to make you use the Wii mote.

Here we are almost half way through Febuary and he's only just now getting around to mentioning that there were hardware shortages at Christmas? I spent plenty of time in game stores while my family did shopping before Christmas and I could have walked out of most of them on any given day with a 360 or a PS3 but if anyone asked a bout a Wii the clerk at one store laughed.
Never too early to start planning, just don't release it too soon.

Street Fighter 2.5 3D: Nothing New Edition
DW6 was enough to push no small number of consoles out the door when it came out in Japan. I've always enjoyed the series and I never quite understood why it wasn't more popular in America. Year after year I've watched critics proclaim "more of the same" in each Dynasty Warriors title but for some reason sports games are immune to this treatment.
I don't care how much a sealed copy of Chrono Trigger is worth, the enjoyment I got from playing it is worth more.
And here I thought Microsoft was giving up the console race this year, I mean what with their impressive market share and continued high software sales I can see why Microsoft would want to give up now. All MS needs to do is get past the RROD issues and they're fine for several years.
Why do you even care if Wal-Mart or Target refuse to carry a game? What difference does it make to you? Do you not know where else you can buy games? If you don't like it then don't buy games from Target... At All. I don't buy games from Best Buy do to a lousy experience there years ago, so take your cash and purchase Mass Effect from another outlet and just keep buying your games from that outlet from this point forward.
The "Overpriced Empire" argument, the fact that a game costs more than you'd like to spend justifies stealing it. Stealing software makes it MORE expensive so stealing it because you feel it's not worth the amount they are charging isn't going to help you. Games are also not 100 dollars here, they're almost universally $60.00 for a new PS3 or 360 game but in going with your 70-75 euro price point where you'd like them to be 40-45 euro that'd put games in America at around $35-40... ...
And thus game thieves are one step closer to being able to steal things.
It's always been a mystery to me who would pirate Vista. That's like going to the trouble of stealing a Pinto with flat tires when you own a fully functional if somewhat beat up import from the late 90s.
Killing the single player experience that Halo offers would be childs play and that was done before Halo 3 even came out... Bioshock. The multiplayer experience will be the tougher sell.
