In no way is DMC4 better than DMC3 except in graphics which is hardly a fair comparison considering the systems involved. The current generation of consoles is plagued with gaming media hyping up games to the nth degree and I for one am getting a bit weary of everything that comes out either being screamed about for being the best thing ever created or screamed about for not being the best thing ever created. There can be no more "decent" or "pretty good" games anymore, ev...
If Haze is as good as Bioshock or COD4 I'll be greatly surprised.
On any given day I can easily find and purchase a 360 or a PS3 so I'm not buying the 'supply' issues. The Wii is the only console right now that anyone should have trouble finding.
If you look at it now you realize that Mortal Kombat was basically a poorly made fighting game cashing on in on the Street Fighter II craze of the day but it got around the fact that it wasn't that spectacular by throwing in what was then never before seen levels of extreme violence. Since then however we've been able to find all the violence we want and a fighting game that basically gets by on "Look at the blood!" has basically lost a lot of its popularity.
I mean thi...
Haven't they been at 17.something since before Christmas? Or are they finally catching on to that hip trend that 'shipped does not equal sold'?
Throwing together a package that includes a bunch of games and a low price strikes me as a little premature and desperate this point. Microsoft is not doing bad here, but this action certainly makes it look like they are.
The loser in the HD format war was doing everything it could in order to win because they knew it wouldn't matter who won.
Now all we'll have to put up with is 5000 websites doing "Are they REALLY the same? Here's our comparison..." stories and then we'll see about half of those stories posted here.
A well developed and designed game that is released on the PS3 and 360 will have differences so insignificant that 95% of the people that play the game won't even care.
I go to stores that sell video games often enough to say that there are no supply issues for any system except Wii. I could have walked out of Wal-Mart yesterday with a 360 or a PS3 and it's like that almost every day.
There is still something about this story that smells fishy to me. It would not be hard at all to hoax this for free goodies.
I'm sorry but any well designed and well run MMO requires subscriptions if it has a persistent world. Servers and bandwidth are not free, nor are the people that have to maintain them.
People have been designing and making games without an education for years... How do you think we end up with so many bad games?
After reading this article I wonder if this guy even played WoW all that much or just flirted with it a little.
There's a lot they could change, not the least of which is the broken skill point allocation system which for many classes is just a way of showing what you CAN'T do rather than what you CAN do. Crafting should not require silly and repetitive runs through dungeons for materials either.
If I recall correctly in SF2 Chun Li was suppose to be 21 while Ken/Ryu were 24... but somehow in Alpha, Ryu was 18 and Chun Li 17, and lets not even get started on Cammy who was supposedly 19 in SF2 which would make her what... 12-13 in Alpha?
I'd say I'm sorry for revealing the painful and obvious truth of what happens when you tamper with a piece of electronics but common sense should tell you that no company is going to honor a warranty agreement if you do something that specifically violates the warranty like opening up the system and "fixing" it. No, there is no 'figuring out' if what he did caused the problem, because there is no way of knowing and this is why every warranty on the planet includes a 'tampering' clau...
This is one where I am utterly and totally on the side of Microsoft. You cannot tamper with something then expect the manufacturer to honor the warranty. They have no way of knowing if the system broke because of a manufacturing defect or because of your tampering. I don't care if it "Worked Fine" for awhile after you repaired it, that means absolutely nothing and any problem could still be the result of what you did. If this problem happened exactly as the user claims then what he ...
Nothing is your fault. Nothing at all. It's society, or games, or music, or television, or something.
If video games caused violent behavior in people this country would have millions of violent crimes linked directly to video games.
Can we leave the political crap out of the game? If they insist on putting in politics, I promise you I won't be buying that game. Leave the politics out and just make a quality game. We have enough crap involving politics and gaming without stupid game developers deciding to add to the problem.
Thompson is once again demonstrating that he's an attention whore. He's the only lawyer I know of that has been involved in litigation against a software maker and has ended up specifically BARRED from a case. It's quite obvious he's completely and totally obsessed to the point of insanity and he actually believes people support him when one court ruling after another has demonstrated otherwise.
How many "under appreciated" or "best games nobody played" or "top 10 games you never heard of", ect ect do we need? Do they change anything? Do people rush out and buy the games listed? Ico, Beyond Good and Evil, and Psychonauts appear on these lists frequently but how many people look at these lists and then went out to buy these games?
