That's the same trailer I've seen for a couple of months now.
In #9 "Sony fanboys" are crest fallen because Star Ocean 4 is coming to the 360 and possibly not the PS3 at all or at least not until later.
No, actually those of us that are familiar with how Microsoft does business know that they rarely if ever count on making superior products to win a competition, they just throw money at people until they get what they want.
The only reason this is worth bringing up...
In #7 we hear no mention of crest fa...
What is it with Microsoft on one hand proclaiming the greatness of their products and beating their chest about how wonderful they are but on the other hand throwing money at developers left and right in a desperate bid to gain an advantage?
If they were confident in the 360, they wouldn't be bribing developers for exclusives and timed exclusives.
Yes it has held Microsoft back coming in to the console market, or did you not notice that the Playstation 2 sold over 125 million consoles where as the Xbox sold around 27 million? This is in addition to the fact that the PS2 continued to out perform and outsell the 360 and the PS3. If you are under the impression that everything has been peaches and cream from Microsoft, it hasn't, they've had to fight for every inch of ground they've gotten.
If you'd like to draw a comparison:...
They're coming to take him away HA HA!
They're coming to take him away HO HO, HE HE, HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And he'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats, cause they're coming to take him away HA HAAAA!
We can only hope.
I think I recall the whole memory limitation thing on the PS2 as well.
Then we got games like Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3, Gran Turismo, ect, ect, ect.
And people quit talking about it.
Let's look at it another way: Is there really a memory problem with the PS3 if we can get games like Heavenly Sword fairly early in the console life? Or games like Call of Duty 4? Or Metal Gear Solid 4? Or Devil May Cry 4? Or the forthco...
"No reason to be on the Playstation 3"
When you are attempting to provide reasons why MGS4 sucks, do not peg yourself as a bitter 360 owner right off the bat if you want anyone to take you seriously.
Not that anyone would anyway.
They competed against Nintendo in a market that company has owned for nearly 20 years.
I will always worship at the altar of any company that tries to do something dramatically different and manages to do it extremely well. Shadow of the Colossus definitively proved it was worthy of the hype it got.
I've always kind of wondered about Tecmo. Here we have a Japanese company that seems to make games for the console that never has and never will actually sell in Japan. I'd think they'd at least try a multi platform approach or something but as long as they are making money that's all that really matters.
5. Dead Rising
I could get everything I wanted out of this game by renting it and so could most other people. It's a lot of fun, that's for sure and you're right... I do wish it was on the PS3 so I could play it more.
4. Fable 2
Fable didn't impress me even slightly in spite of the hype and I'm seeing similar things about Fable 2... At least so far. I believe you tragically over estimate the importance of Fable and Fable 2 if you think very many PS3 owne...
Their bias exposed, Game Daily is now trying to make a joke about it all by acting like you need something else to "do" while the cut scenes in MGS4 play.
To their list I will add the following: You can head over to n4g.com and make fun of biased articles from the people Game Daily. I'm sorry if MGS4 didn't provide you with the non stop twitch action you were looking for but not every game is going to be an FPS or a shooter.
Video games can be an excellent storytelling method but they don't have to be. I've seen games get trashed for having poor story when the story wasn't really the point.
Mark my words however, if they bring out the next Xbox while the current generation is still going strong and try to make some claim about how they finished ahead of Sony because this generation is "over", I'll never, ever, stop mocking them for it.
And that's exactly what they'll probably try. The 360 will be at around 22-25 million units and the PS3 will be right behind them... then the third Xbox will come out and they'll claim they've "won" even as within ...
Partly it's the Anti-PS3 bias that continues to persist. There are some gaming news outlets that are still hung up on being Anti-PS3. For a variety of reasons 2007 was marked by some serious anti-Sony bias and it hasn't gone away by any stretch of the imagination.
The other part is that some of the 8/10 scores have come from sites with very specific likes and dislikes. Eurogamer for instance obviously has a fetish for fast paced action oriented games like shooters.

But not the people who made Halo 3 I guess? Of course not. Only people who make games for the PS3 get a "free pass" and in no way shape or form does anyone who makes a game for the system Game Daily called 'the best system ever' get a "free pass".
Basically Game Daily has chosen to shill for the 360 because that's the the console they like. There's nothing wrong with that but at least be honest about it and quit making excuses.
Why not just make a good solid Tenchu game instead of trying to gimmick the thing up?
This is the worst "top 100" list ever created. Greatest games of all time... Apparently time began with the PSOne.
"In a post about Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Tycho from Penny Arcade pointed out a bit of game review weaseling that I myself have been guilty of. "Most reviews I have read," he said, "can be simmered down to 'If you like Metal Gear, you'll like it.'"
No, if you like good, well made, high quality games you'll like it. I like how he's going on about "deadly sins" of game reviewing then mentions such a non-credible source? Tycho is a ...
I'm sorry but FPS developers really need to pull World War 2 out of their arse and leave it alone for a good long time. It's like after COD4 they have a bunch of bitter obsessive developers who just can't let go of the WW2 era of shooters.
For gods sake do something else.
