You want to create a game that can top Halo?
Okay, it's done and it was out a month or more before Halo 3 was. Perhaps you've heard of it... It's called Bioshock? Oh, you want multi-player that can top Halo 3? Ever heard of Call of Duty 4?
Does it seem to anyone that Microsofts new strategy is to snatch up as many JRPG as they can? It's not a bad idea per se because it's a pretty certain bet that they've sold a 360 to just about everyone who is going to buy one just to play action oriented games (FPS and such).
The RPG market comes as two fold... It's an attempt to get the Japanese market at some future point by establishing a president for whatever follows the 360. The second plan is to get various America/Europe ...
As the gaming press cried and cried about how big bad Konami was putting all these restrictions on them... Stories like this one are precisely why.
Behold the "Let's spoil the game just so we can get page hits!" press and thus the press cried when Konami told them that they couldn't.
"We don’t mind admitting that we’ve only reached Level 25 with our main character, and are currently scrounging around the beginning area with a few alts, but we think we’ve experienced enough of the game to be able to fill you in on most of the ins and outs of this WoW alternative."
Actually no, they haven't learned jack and they are falling in to the same trap as most other review sites out there. Funcom was very clever about this... The first 20 or so levels when you...
Looks like at least one reviewer played long enough to get past the first city.
That's right folks, Funcom put everything in to the first area to make a good impression, then dumped you in a bland ordinary MMO for the rest of the game.
You would have to be on drugs to put Halo above Half Life, Bioshock, CoD4, Doom, or Quake.
If install times diminish your ability to play and enjoy a game then you have issues.
This has nothing to do with 'children', and they know that. The best trick people like this have ever managed to pull is to convince people that they are doing this "For the Children".
They are just busy bodies who want to tell everyone what they can see, say, watch, eat, and consume. If they find something to get hung up on that violates what they think is some moral code, then they feel their idea of "What is moral" to be so superior to everyone else that cl...
You've come up with an argument that I've never heard anyone make before. Clearly the "You just suck at it" accusation has never been used to defend a video game at any point in gaming history. We stand in awe of your wit and brilliance in coming up with the utterly ridiculous idea that people dislike a game because they're bad at it.
It took a hype machine and ad campaign the likes of which the world has never seen in gaming history to make Halo 3 seem important last y...
Yet they have a picture of Rin?
If the original Halo had been released on the PC years ago instead of the Xbox then it wouldn't have gotten nearly the amount of praise or attention. Halo was and is hyped up beyond all good sense because it is an exclusive franchise and it in no way deserves the praise it's gotten. It's a good game to be sure but there is little about it that makes it extraordinary.
After Bioshock and CoD4, looking at Halo 3 just reminds you how far we've come since games like that were the best...
I don't know what it is but that sounds like a lot of fun to me.
Jack, don't go away mad... Just go away.
How bout we can can the political rhetoric? Marking the occasion of the death of one so young and so very brave should not be marred with political bickering and other such crap.
If hearing this young man's story causes you to start angrily denouncing certain political figures or dredge up political talking points then you need to take your hands off the keyboard, sit back, and give yourself a very careful mental examination for a moment. There is a time and place to express your...
I absolutely promise you that there are games that have come out that have been scored up intentionally just so the review websites would not have to deal with a bunch of insane fans who will go ballistic over the fact that somebody dares give "THEIR!" game less than a perfect score.
Since we're talking about Gamespot, do you honestly think that it was really a "mistake" they initially gave GTAIV a 9.5 then claimed it was an error and suddenly it was a 10?
You are not going to trick or bamboozle a non video game playing girlfriend in to taking up your hobby. You basically have two alternatives here.
1) Spend time doing hobbies and activities together that you both enjoy and get your minds out of the gutter when you read that.
2) Date a girl that does actually like video games.
As for that list of games, over half of them hold little or no interest for a female gamer much less a female non-gamer. If you are...
Yes, install times, get over it. This is most ridiculous 'enduring' complaint I've heard as people act like it's a huge chore or something.
Complaining about install times is nothing but looking for an excuse to whine about something that doesn't really matter. If you can honestly sit there and say that an install time diminishes the value or enjoyability of a game then you have issues.
What is Konami "afraid" of? It's afraid of the anti-Sony sentiment that ran rampant last year and hasn't quite gone away and because of this they know that simply because their game is a huge title and a PS3 exclusive it will be scrutinized more heavily than a huge title that was multi-platform or exclusive to another system.
If I was going to hire that idiot I'd have to extract one of the most extreme "Keep Your Mouth Shut" agreements out of him that any company has ever conceived.
Whether or not he makes good games or exactly how much he has to do with the games he's associated with is up for debate but what is clear is that this is a man who runs his mouth too much and hurts not only his image but the image of anyone he's associated with.
That was very tame by Ikkitousen standards of T&A.
