The differences between two versions of the same game will typically be so insignificant that nobody cares except for a very tiny number of people with something to "prove" about their choice in consoles. As for this article, why do I strongly suspect that it was motivated by the conclusions of the gamepro article more than anything else?
Unless the programmers are lazy or incompetent the only differences between a 360 and the PS3 version of a game are going to be so minor that 99% of people won't notice or even care. Unless there's some glaring difference between the two versions, they're the same game.
It's like you've got two sports cars to pick from and you're concerned about extremely minor cosmetic differences between them... While everyone else is just glad to have a cool car.
I find it extremely odd that some companies have no problems at all programming for the PS3 while others act like its too much trouble.
I went down down down in to a burning ring of fire...
Seriously, MS needs to get their act together.
Talk about a misleading headline.
Peter Moore's an industry legend? How's that Dreamcast coming Pete? What's that? You don't want to talk about that one?
I'm sure either the 360 or the PS3 version will have some very very minor difference that everyone will SCREAM makes one version vastly superior to the other. Like oh... Devil May Cry, where it the game is nitpicked to death on both systems but is basically identical in every way that actually means anything.
Anyone notice that it is Microsoft that keeps bragging about the games on their system? They shout about how amazing Gears of War 2 will be or how wonderful the GTAIV content will be... It's never the companies making these games that release these chest beating statements of glory.
At any rate it should be interesting to see how much people end up having to pay for the 360 version of GTAIV. The fact that Microsoft goes week to week hyping up this content even more leads me to th...
Oh yes, because the arena is just all sorts of friendly towards casual gamers right? Assuming you even want to pvp, and a lot of casuals do not, you're under the false impression that any old person can enter the arena and do well enough to qualify for all the of the equipment: Only the hardcore pvp teams get anywhere with arena.
WoW is casual friendly? Up until you reach the maximum level of the game I suppose at which point you're either becoming a hardcore raider or a hardcore pvp'er if you want to advance your characters equipment.
Bioware might not be afraid of WoW but they like every other MMO maker out there will be lucky to reach the "1 million" mark. MMOs are not like every other game out there... I can buy a couple of games and alternate between them effectively but most people are unl...
No I'm not going to "read the article from Kotaku", because what Kotaku had to say is basically unimportant and completely biased, I much prefer to go to the source myself and judge it that way instead. A short and flashy headline that links to a story with a completely different headline and then tells the whole story is nothing to get all up in arms about. As I said, it's Fox and that's the only reason anyone is crying about it. Some people don't like the wording of a link on a pa...
What part of a factually correct headline is wrong? They neglected the kid in favor of playing video games. This is not an indictment against all gamers and if you think it is then you're either hyper sensitive or you're just looking for excuses. Once again, this is an example of people who hate Fox for other reasons sitting around waiting for something they can whine about.
The Mass Effect thing was stupid and ridiculous, the 'video games are destroying nature' study was stupid ...
Take everything from Alpha and III and just throw it away and claim that this is because people might not be "familiar" with those games? That's just being lazy. All they're doing is remaking a game from over a decade ago in 3D.
It's Street Fighter 2.5: Nothing New Edition. At least SNK tried to make a new game when they went 3D with King of Fighters.
I'm absolutely stunned that the creators of World of Warcraft can talk about balance in a multiplayer game with a straight face.
Spin, it's not just for politics anymore.
Toshiba gave up the ghost on HDDVD due to downloads? The fact that they couldn't give away their stuff in about another month has nothing to do with it.
Spinning the news, it's not just for politics.
If you take a stance against something, in this case video games, you will always alienate a group of people. Unfortunately whether you like it or not the number of people who play video games and follow politics closely enough to care do not make up a significant voting block when compared to people with an overall sentiment that video games, movies, and music are "out of control". Essentially Hillary is just doing what Hillary does best: Figuring out which of two groups she can po...
What would the sales figured for the 360 be like if you didn't have to take replacements in to account.
It's a sad sad sad world we live in the World of Warcraft is the best we can do for an MMO.
It's never good enough for people to simply not "do" whatever it is they don't like, they have to try to dictate to others. Don't like video games? Well, clearly your opinion is the only one that matters and nobody else should be given a choice... It's "What's good for them".
I mean really, don't you understand that you are ignorant and need somebody else to tell you what you should and shouldn't do? If you were just educated and enlightened like "these&q...
