@360ICE

That may be so, but as amiga-man stated, it's not for good reasons it's 1, 2 or 4.

It's lucky there's so much noise about it, as otherwise Microsoft would be getting no press at all.

As much as I'm looking forward to playing the big XB1 games, they really lost Gamescom hard when compared to the interesting line-up Sony showed.

Almost every reveal was exciting... Whereas MS just re-ran / expanded on...

An interesting looking game, just got a lot more interesting!

Sounds like Online Minecraft with a huge twist... And I love Minecraft!

That's a tough choice...

I love 'Elite' style games, so No Man's Sky is hugely appealing - but then again, I also have Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous on PC coming.

Tomb Raider was brilliant. It's the only game in recent times that I have bought on PS3, and then bought again on PC because of the improved graphics (and it was in a Steam sale), and I'd even be tempted to buy the Ultimate Edition if it ever gets really cheap.

I really hope Sony don't screw up the subscription price.

The cost of Netflix, NowTV, Amazon Instant Video etc, and even EA Access have set an expectation for how expensive a service should be.

And some sort of bonus for PS+ subscribers is a good idea.

That would be terrifying!

Wild and Rime really interested me. There was a lot of good news from Sony.

Rime looks like Windwaker and ICO got together and did the nasty!!

Wild looks well, just that... Wild. Who knows what sort of game it will be - but it really reminded me (for some reason) of the old Xbox game BC that got cancelled way back - that looked like a really innovative and interesting game too.

Plus Tearaway really is one of the best experiences on the Vit...

Those arguments make a fair point. But the problem is I don't believe them or think they matter.

People are aggrieved because this decision makes no sense outside of money.

When there is data to show that the previous game sold better on PlayStation consoles...

When you have have the fact that the PS4 has a significantly higher install base than the XB1...

There are no logical arguments for saying this is good for gamers...

Yes, I love Indie games, and I have a PC that cost about the same as my PS4 and XB1 combined, and I play more Indie games on that than AAA too!! Oh noes!!!

There are enough great games to keep things ticking over on PS4, and I'll enjoy the AAA releases as they come.

I dunno why people are so disappointed. There are a tonne of good looking games coming, and yet people have this ridiculous idea that only AAA justifies a purchase.

If a game...

@Artista

What games do you actually like?

Indie or not, a good game is a good game.

Plus Sony showed of a lot of other interesting / intriguing titles.

I own a Vita, I play it loads. It's obvious it's a dying console, but I've got my money's worth, and a lack of new AAA games (there's still a tonne of games I have yet to play on it), is in no way reason to class the show as underwhelming.

What!?

I felt Sony over-delivered in many ways. All they needed was to end it with one big 1st party AAA (maybe a teaser of Guerilla Games rumoured RPG) and it would have been the perfect show.

Not unexpected. It's pretty typical for mainland European adverts. Kinda cheesy. :)

Sony had more unexpected surprises and quirky games I can't wait to play.

MS had more obvious AAA, but a lot was already known from E3

Glad I own both systems.

I enjoyed that. It was different and intriguing.

I completely agreed that this was a fresh and different line up. So many games I want to play.

Nice job Sony.

@Neonridr,

Because no matter how hardcore a gamer is, some people can't justify the cost of buying multiple consoles. Owning multiple consoles doesn't make you hardcore or a true gamer. What a ridiculous notion.

So when a well established IP like the new Tomb Raider, that we know sold the best on PlayStation, from a publisher that has become more and more multi-platform suddenly goes exclusive... Well, not hard to see that some people would be hugel...

4325d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

I'll pick this up on XB1.

But I really don't understand why they would do it...

We know that Tomb Raider sold more on PlayStation

We know that there are far more PS4's sold than XB1's

So the questions are... Just how much money did MS have to pay to convince SE to make it exclusive?.. Or are SE really that desperate and lacking confidence in the product that they would accept a short term payout from MS!?

So you could be bothered to type ten words in to a post on N4G, but not type four words in to your search bar.

Interesting.

Oh, and I was being serious.

No, but aggregating the opinions from reviews can be useful. For example, if a good percentage of reviewers say the controls are bad / good, then I would believe that.

These days I am more likely to watch some one play the game on Twitch or Hotbox than trust reviews. But I will still read reviews to get a general feel for the game.

So, you know when you're sat around with your buddies. And some one says 'You know what would make this game better?... Giant robots'

So I'm guessing CoD and TitanFall ripped off just about anyone who ever played a game.

What next... Dinosaurs. Gotta be giant dinosaurs. I called it.

There's this amazing invention. It's called the internet. You may have heard of it. It allows you to do things, like search for information...

For example:

Convert CEST to BST

Good luck. Try not to hurt yourself.
