Well said Quagmire.

An excellent game. Really enjoyed it.

Don't care if it was derivative, the art style, game play and story made it fun.

Darksiders 2 is a Day 1 purchase. Just a shame it's not out until next year

Highly anticipated by the fans of the series perhaps?

What a whinge.

Some valid points that have existed since Day 1 of the PS3, (and most gamers have just accepted) - all wrapped up in a pointless whine.

1. Not bad that a reviewer with a 60GB PS3 has only now, in 2011, reached the HDD capacity!

2. It's unusual, and bad luck, to have to do a firmware update at the same time as a game launches. I think it's happened to me maybe twice since 2006 - and I don't anticipate it being a pr...

I've often wondered if Rare or Nintendo own the IP for Blast Corps... I assume it's Ninty, but either way I can't believe there was never a sequel. One of my all-time favourite games.

I agree with gogospeedracer, the first time I started playing Mario 64, my gaming world changed.

Zelda OoT is a stand out moment (until the water temple!! :) )

Having friends round for Mario Kart and Goldeneye sessions was great (although I sucked w...

I've done my best to avoid all mention of this game in anticipation of immersing myself in it... then a headline like this comes along.

Twats.

In these days where anything under 9 is considered a flop, 7 sounds harsh. But this game is really good and great fun.

I'd give it an 8, but a 7 should not put anyone off.

Games make you fat like N4G makes you stupid!

Pretty much the bulk of the Spectrum 48k/128k or Commodore 64 systems libraries. Back then 'longevity' consisted of just making every game as hard to beat as possible.

I had some games on the Commodore Vic20 that were probably impossible to beat. QA was not really a big factor back then!

Unfortunately I have to agree.

I loaned my 360 out to a buddy shortly after I completed Gears 2, never bothered to get it back.

I'd love to play Gears 3, but the 120mile round trip to get my 360 back just isn't worth it for one game!

Well done Epic for a great series and a fun game.

Of course Timmy... but 99%+ of PC owners won't be running it at 2560x1440 @ 120FPS.

For example - on the latest Steam hardware survey the total number of people with your resolution is 0.67%.

Almost 50% of users have dual core CPU's. A third of the CPU's are between 2.3 and 2.69GHz (and over 45% below 2.69GHz).

Well over 70% have 4GB RAM or less.

GPU is harder to quantify as it's so varied - highest number is...

Such a shame this was canned. As soon as it was announced it jumped to the top of my most wanted list

I think the important thing here is this quote " If you do the game’s side quests, that adds up to 20 to 25 hours"

20 - 25 sounds more like what I was expecting from this type of game. 15 hours is good for a 'pure' FPS, but RAGE has always promised a bit more than that.

Yup. I can't recall the most I've spent on an Android game, but it can't be more than £5.

Sounds like this game could get very expensive.

Somehow I doubt Naughty Dog was 'pressured'.

I'm sure Sony will have had discussions with ND (a company they own after all) about the type of market they were aiming at and other factors, and ND came up with a title that fit the criteria.

Sony are just doing their job as publisher and owner.

You have to take any 'former employee' stories with a grain of salt as often there's a reason why an employee is 'former...

Good for DICE. So many people see beta as nothing more than a right to play the game early and for free.

Beta is there for a reason, to test and improve an unfinished version - DICE (and any other dev) can run it in whatever way serves their needs (i.e. releasing a quality product) best!

Heavenly Sword... Great launch title, good direction, decent characters

Enslaved... Fun, and interesting characters. I liked the retelling of the Chinese novel, even if it was a bit ham fisted at times.

I think Andy Serkis' involvement really showed as both games felt very cinematic at times.

Enslaved will be looked back on as one of those flawed gems no one played... like Beyond Good and Evil or Psychonauts

It was clear from the last E3 that Activision is aligning more with MS, and EA with Sony.

No surprise here.

Fantastic if it does appear.

I loved / hated the first game in almost equal measure - it was awesome. I completed it, but never felt I fully mastered it.

I tried the beta, and even on my lowly 4Mbit connection it was better than I expected (a fair bit of artifacting, but no frame drops or noticeable lag).

I like the idea of OnLive, and it's a valiant effort - but until the catalogue really grows, and broadband speeds are high enough to minimise artifacts I can't see myself using it.

Also, I feel slightly uncomfortable shelling out for content in this way. I can accept spending money on digital stuff t...

No, the Japanese aesthetic is alive and well.

Just because Capcom and SquareEnix have sold out to try and capitalise on Western gamers tastes does not mean the 'Japanese' games are dead... they will soon realise the reason they have been so popular in the past is because their games were NOT Westernised.

The appeal of many Japanese developers games is that they provided a completely different experience to Western developed games.
