Pretty cool game, having been playing it a lot the last two days.
It's a free download on iOS, so worth a go. The tutorial is very poor, but it's easy to get to grips with. Just hope they (quickly) add more cards as the decks seem fairly limited.
Totally agree, and you know what, if it does come out in 2012, I swear to god I'm gonna play it.
Well said.
The book is a masterpiece. Anyone who wants a really amazing read, and to see just how far video games have to go to match the stories and story telling in books should not hesitate to pick it up.
The Will Smith film is a travesty. And the rumour they are making a prequel just makes me want to punch Hollywood in the nuts.
Totally agree BlackTar187
I still wonder what the hell MGS2 was all about... And I don't mean the story. Just... why? It felt like a complete mess.
If the industry ever wants to be taken seriously, it definitely needs to improve story lines and story telling for some games.
Naughty Dog are good at story telling (in that summer blockbuster kinda way), but in terms of underlying story I like Jak and Daxter better.
Fingers crossed, and good luck to them, as they try changing the industry.
Well said!
As much as I love Uncharted, I'm hoping Naughty Dog continue their trend of moving to a new IP with each generation.
Jak and Daxter were great, Uncharted is great, but time to move. Interested to see what The Last of Us brings to the table. I loved Enslaved, so good news that the lead designer is part of ND now.
When the PS4 launches I hope ND wow me with a new IP, just as they did when I first saw Uncharted on PS3.
The 'best' graphics is a very subjective thing.
I love the art direction and feel of the graphics in the Uncharted series and believe they have not been surpassed on any platform - but if we go by texture resolution, screen resolution, and particle effects and other details etc, then the PC will win every time.
Metro 2033 looks amazingly atmospheric, and on a technical level outdoes the PS3 games you listed easily, but I prefer the vibrant graphics i...
@Tapioca Cold
People are hyping this because it's Naughty Dog.
ND have never failed to deliver fun game play and amazing console graphics. Even if their stories are a little weak and generic, their methods of story telling in a game is pretty much unsurpassed.
There's no reason not to be hyped for the game; but there's a difference between true hype (i.e. getting excited for a game from a AAA developer, and speculating about how c...
I believe the 360 version had significant problems with loading high quality textures if the game was installed to the hard drive. But that was patched a while back.
There are other bugs, such as quest issues and so on similar to PC / PS3.
If you are really keen on this game I wouldn't let the negative comments stop you buying it right now.
I've been playing the PS3 version since Day 1 and have put in around 60hours. I encountered serious lag after a while, but the last patch has sorted out 99% of the problem.
I've only had one crash and one bugged quest. I didn't lose anything during the crash as it happened right after an autosave. The quest bug was sorted by loading an ear...
Have fun playing with your new dashboard.
A well written review should leave the reader in no doubt of a titles quality (or lack of it), which should negate the need for any sort of 'score' to be tacked on the end.
Scores are pointless. They are a crutch for journalists and a tool for fanboys.
Some people always want more for nothing, and the current 'entitlement' culture we live in make a lot of those people think Company X, Y or Z owe them something.
I know where DemonStration is coming from. Firmware may not be a massive issue (although they can be a bit slow to download for some reason).
But taking a break from PS3 can often mean having to sit through a lot of patches if you haven't played a game for a while.
It's one of the reasons I went for PSNPlus, so that updates would be downloaded overnight - however even that isn't perfect as it only downloads patches for recently played games.
Some would argue the addition of Vita support / connectivity is a major feature.
Vita is the biggest launch since the PS3 itself. The amount of additional functionality and code that needed to go in to the new firmware is probably extensive.
Seems like a good candidate to 'start a new chapter' in the PS3 firmware.
But ultimately, it's just a number, and just a firmware update.
Really! I didn't know that!
Ah well, that's that then. We've seen how 'well' SquareEnix did with FFXI and XIV!!
SquareSoft may be dead, but that shouldn't mean that SquareEnix can't pump out AAA titles.
Dragons Quest doesn't seem to have suffered as much as Final Fantasy.
I'm still pretty early in the main quest. Where I noticed the lag really kick in was during A Blade in the Dark. Following Delphine was almost impossible at times.
Before that I had a little stuttering (mainly in Whiterun) and after prolonged play - but the moment that quest kicked off it was like someone had thrown the lag switch!! My save was about 7.5Mb at the time.
Seems to me ND have been more inspired by Discovery Channel and BBC nature documentaries.
There was a good series recently on Discovery that looked at what would happen if certain events caused the population to die out. One was seeing nature reclaim cities.
Also the BBC did a great nature documentary that covered ant population being kept in check by mind control fungus.
My problem with the movie is that the infected looked like bad CGI rej...
