Think about something else, too: this is the internet.
You see, the internet, in of itself, has conceived something else equally as frightening and very annoying: the trolls. It's one thing when you have one or two people that you can easily ignore, and the rest act like adults.
Thing is, though, you have some sites in which everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, says something just to see who they can catch in the web of endless trolling, and tries to push the e...
Should be an option, but then again, you have to look at if such an option is possible right now. There are wired and wireless mouses out there, but I've yet to see one that can be both (at least not to my knowledge). It's probably been suggested before, but not really something the current tech allows, at least in a way that is convenient and easy to the user.
Plus, some like it being wired for the very reasons you suggested: dpi issues (not to mention that you woul...
She doesn't do anything for me, but that doesn't mean Perez is any less of a douchebag for saying shit. Perez is just another douchebag from Destructoid, who seems to breed them on a constant basis.
Another day, another Destructoid douchebag proving that he is exactly that!
WoW always has a decrease in subs when they are in the ending stages of an expansion. MoP is in beta (and moving through the stages very fast, too), and people have been doing 4.3 to death right now. Many people resub once new content comes around, and a new xpac means a load of craziness everywhere. Don't be too surprised if you see the subs going up when that goes live.
As for the numbers, I wouldn't worry too much. Some companies sell their shares of something when...
1. This is Kotaku's Australia division, which I heard has a bit better cred than the US one.
2. The woman in question, if you actually read the article instead of doing what you did (which is far from what was actually said in the article), is a member of an upstart PC gaming magazine staff. She also has a blog called Alive Tiny World. She does contribute to Kotaku AU, but she is more contracted than employed.
3. Way to shift the blame and twist what actu...
I get what all of you are saying, but I agree with Sev here. We've only seen a part of the game, and though we'll judge the demo to hell and back, it's just that. A demo. Since when has a demo, beta, or anything else, reflect the final product. Games are tweaked based on initial reaction.
And those initial reactions are too prejudiced in this case. We're seeing the multiplayer be criticized on the sheer notion that it's going to exist in the game. We don...
Hey Aisha, you want proof that you're correct?
Just pull up the stories about Geohot from this site one year ago, then look at some of the comments that people posted. You'll see how correct you are on that statement!
People can be pricks, and the problem is that those people don't care because to them, there's no in between (to them, free speech means letting them say whatever the fuck they want without consequence. Yeah, it's the norm on...
There's a sense of challenge being the "front line" and being the "support". In MMO's like ToR and WoW, the "front line" is usually known as the tanks, and they have a very important job: to keep the monsters (mobs) off of the others so they can do their jobs.
What you define as "support roles" in a game like World of Warcraft depends on what you think about the roles in general. In short, every "role" has a main funct...
4 year olds usually fall asleep around that time (it was near 10PM EST when that demo was being shown). Not the best example, no disrepect or anything.
Sony's presser was fine other than the Wonderbook demo which just dragged on forever. It's a very good concept, don't get me wrong, but did they really need to spend 20+ minutes on it? I was going "okay, we get the point" and lost all interest in the concept.
The only other issue I had with Sony's conference was no fault of theirs: GT's stream fucked up audio when they were showing the God of War demo. It was as if GT didn't plan ahead or som...
Depends on what you think about Coke vs. Pepsi.
You're thinking of Judgement Day. It had Victor Lucas (don't know what he did in the industry) and Tommy Tameraco (sp?) (he worked with Shiny Games).
They did Electric Playground, as well, but I never watched that show.
Wow, Cell, that's got to be the most uninformed statement I've read on the internet in a long time! Congrats, man. That's a damn accomplishment.
Those games that he mentioned DID prove his point, though. You said you could name quality games that flopped, but never named any besides...BLUR? REALLY?
What you think is a quality game doesn't have to be what I think is a quality game. It's suggestive and is an opinion.
He talked about big name titles that people will buy day one because they have heard a lot about it from previews and reviews. They heard the game will be good, and the outlook is...
There's a problem, though, with the author's thinking. I can understand the point (and I hate that kind of DRM and would wish that Ubisoft would get the hint when people boycott their games over the DRM issue instead of thinking that the boycotters are just those that would pirate the game because...OMG, they still ARE pirating their games).
However, with D3, keep in mind that the game was built with the whole idea of multiplayer interaction in mind. Games are constan...
Well, you also have to think of the age level of who you're talking to, as well.
Think for a second about the debate over jailbreaking last year. If people were a bit older, more knowledgeable of similar issues that came up beforehand, and more aware that system loyalties don't rule every debate, then we would've not gotten the calls for Geohot's or any other's death in horrible ways.
How about the Jessica Nigiri issue that happened at PA...
How'd you get disagrees for this? You're being correct. Not sure how many times that whole booth babe thing has been used in this argument when the president of the sodding thing specifically stated that they do allow cosplayers with revealing clothing (which, to be frank, didn't do him any favors to say because it makes it even more suspicious).
Why is it that every single subject amounts to some people frantically banging on their keyboard and hitting submit wi...
Well, the bottom line here is that there is actually some confusion as to what exactly happened. She tweeted that she was allowed to come back, and that they only told her to change to something less provocative. The ban didn't happen, but embarrassment was clearly there because she was told that something that was okay before wasn't. Even with the screw up that Destructoid put to this story that blew this way out of proportion, PAX has to come forward and make the reason known as to ...
I know. That was a really good movie with a rather spooky ending to it that even if you played the games, you might've not seen coming.
