I think it's a rather inconsistent policy coupled with the previous controversy over the dickwolves that led to some ultimatums needing to be given.
They claim the family friendly tag, yet show gory and bloody games.
They claim the policy, yet have a grey area that is completely unclear via an exception (risque cosplay is fine and female promotion is fine if the person knows the game they are promoting), and then decide that they will enforce a rule anywa...
@DeadIIIRed You're not understanding the story then.
The girl did not even get asked about her attire until the second day. The second day, she wore the pink outfit. She complied with their demand and changed into the same thing she wore on day one. It's only THEN that they had any issue with the cheerleader outfit, and only then that she said "fuck you guys".
Now, think about this for a moment. The policy was put in place when the industry...
Though this now put into question that very policy. Is it being unfair, and is it being discriminatory towards females? Just saying "the rules are the rules" isn't enough here. Yeah, they have a policy, but now it could be a policy that's in need of some tinkering to make sure that something like this doesn't happen again, if not completely taken off the books.
When did GT5 add the FOX Sports graphics (or whatever MAX is; that's the FOX Sports graphics package being used, plain as day)? Missed when that happened.
Or was that added in when they rendered the video (I doubt that, but still)?
The main problem is, for one, this story is talking about Sony Pictures, not the PSN. It's a different branch.
As for what you're saying, there's a fine line. For one, the younger people are having a lot of trouble trying to convey an actual point without resorting to personal attacks or the vitriol. I believe that the death penalty things were done by those with the inability to know better or to care. Of course, it's not exclusive to the younger crowd, but y...
Sony didn't say a thing for weeks while we sat and waiting wondering what the hell was going on and why the security was so lax. There was no update on when the service could be back up. Sony acted as though they did nothing wrong, when the fact was that their service went down so easily and that personal info was stored in such a conspicuous place that we wondered if Sony was not being honest with how secure their services actually were, and were trying to keep from having to say that. T...
Do you see some of the posts that happened here. They don't actually read the article. They see "hacker" and "Sony" and go straight off without thinking or reading, and attacking anyone who dares disagree with them. This subject brings out the worst in people on N4G, which is scary knowing some of the people who DO post here.
I just own a PS3 and play on it. Will the people who are wanting death to this guy care when they read this?
Pretty freakin cool. The perfect antidote to anyone who says that games drive families apart or anything like that.
There's a video in this of the two year old playing this (you can hear him laugh and get excited when he gets through a stage) in the article. Been thinking about buying this game for a while. This might just push me to buy it. Looks like a fun game (the kid looks to know what he's doing, too).
Or publishers can do things that don't treat legit customers like criminals, and stop peddling the same thing every single time. Gamers can also stop falling for the same trick every single time like they never learn anything the last time.
Boycotts don't work because for every one person that won't buy the game, there are two people ready, willing, and able to replace the one. With the mentality of the younger gamers anymore, as well, you can't get them to ei...
It also depends on how fast the RAM is. The faster it is, the less you will need, but also the more money it'll cost you. That's why you see the high end memory sticks on places like Newegg.com price very high for only, say, 2 gigs. You won't need as much when it's able to process the memory fast. Not sure if the processor could bottleneck them, though. I know my old CPU was bottlenecking my HD Radeon 6870.
I just came!
Well, that's your opinion and your entitled to that, but you are in the MINUTE minority there. That ending was VERY epic. All the battle themes from the various MGSs (well, I'm counting the third one as one because...you know, it plays during THAT fight in MGS3), the way it's just your fists and feet doing the fighting instead of guns, and it's the fight that you've been waiting 4 games to finally have. Yeah, not sure what you saw as a flaw that none of us did.

You're talking about N4G! There has become little to no sense left talking about this topic. It's pure prejudice about the topic, IMO. They forget about Bethesda and Valve supporting modding, and that even Blizzard, to some extend, do. They seem to have a predetermined answer for everything about it, too.
That Rainbow Six PS3 looks awesome, though. Whoever did that did a job well done designing that.
A good bit of people. It's more or less the best of the Simpsons' games, despite its flaws. Those that remember those days will remember this game and pumping a ton of quarters into it (I know I did). It was a fun and challenging game. And it's free to PS Plus subscribers. Can't exactly beat that.
1. Umm...go back and look at some of the sales figures, month-to-month, of the PS3 game console from the past few years, then compare them to the NPD data figures from when they actually released them. Very interesting, indeed!
2. And...how long did FF13-2 have between release and when it was announced compared to the time window of the other games? Really? Whatever hype machine you saw was buried by just about everything else that the rest of us saw.
3. Wait...
A few issues about your numbers:
1. Your source. VGChartz haven't exactly been the most reliable source ever about sales figures. You know how many times they've been wrong about PS3 vs. 360 numbers every month? I'd dare to say that you using VGChartz makes a lot of your arguments invalid.
2. Even if VGC was a reliable source, not much was known about when 13-2 was going to come out (I didn't even know that a release date was set on the game, ...
And this is something we should be concerned about because...?
It's a few things.
One, it gets your name and skills out there. The more people see who you are and what you can do, the more of a following you are likely to get. Much easier to have people who will be willing to pay for something you make down the road if you are willing to risk something to get people to know that you can develop something that they will be interested in, and be consistent about the quality of the games you make.
Also, because you'...
Not real sure where Valve stated that HL3 existed, but then again, whatever happened to HL2 EPISODE 3?
They haven't really said anything about THAT, either!
Do you realize that the booth babe thing has a loophole in it that PAX created themselves? It's not supposed to mean that you can't have females promoting your products. That would just completely reek of sexism. Would make it too obvious.
The other big issue about the babes was that they didn't know anything about the product they were promoting. You ask them something about the game, they wouldn't be able to tell you jack shit about the game. However, there ...
