And the DARK side of N4G rears it's ugly head yet again! And to think that these are the types of people game companies take seriously!
Fine with the guy getting what was coming to him and all, but it's not like we can just let any company off the hook. We know now that we can't trust Sony to keep the PSN safe because if they tout it as that secure, and then it gets hacked (which even the most secure of systems can get hacked, I understand that point), and then t...
Probably not going to be that much because of the architecture. x86 processor should make it much cheaper than the PS3 was because it's more of a PC based structure than the PS3 was. Given that there was basically a PS2 inside the PS3, as well, it's no wonder the PS3 originally cost that much: they put way too much of hardware and new technology into it that it was impossible for the PS3 to have any hope in making a profit if it wasn't that much.
I don't see t...
Wow, I actually won something!
Early birthday present for me (it's this Saturday)!
She did mention in that conference that she did meet with a few of them (Bungie, for instance). Not sure what came of that (I heard they made something as a result). So yeah, she's at least CLAIMING that some meetings happened, or at least invitations did go out...though judging from the misinformation she gave all of us in the video, I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't spouting off then, too.
Not all people within a movement are doing it out of sheer goodwill. I do mention individuality. There are, unfortunately, straw activists that will piggyback a movement only to get famous and not once actually believe what they say they're for. Gay activists, for instance, did not like Queer Nation's style of activism when they began.
Many believe Anita to be a straw activist.
I don't think anyone who is criticizing her civilly have condoned those comments. We all know there are asshats, and we deal with them making the rest of us look just as bad every day.
The problem comes in if she knew she would get a certain response going in and actively solicited such responses in the hopes that she can get sympathy from the rest of us for it. She was going to make the videos anyway, as someone said, so it wasn't as if anyone were going to stop her....
I was going on the front page's definition:
"Tropes are devices and conventions that a writer can reasonably rely on as being present in the audience members' minds and expectations. On the whole, tropes are not clichés. The word clichéd means "stereotyped and trite." In other words, dull and uninteresting. We are not looking for dull and uninteresting entries. We are here to recognize tropes and play with them, not to make fun of them." ...
I have an idea: Let's stop talking about it until we make that waste of a feminist Anita go away.
Seriously, not trying to say that discussion on the topic shouldn't exist, but the only reason why people are rushing to defend their wanting equality is because she made a flame bait video in which she skewed facts or just blatantly ignored them for the sake of it fitting her viewpoint, used the posts of master trolls that were attacking her (which were disgusting, don...
Reason why people are doing stoies like this now? Because of a certain video from some bitch that people think is so important to the games industry that when she put out said video, everyone is rushing in order to not be labeled as something they wouldn't be to begin with.
Seriously, Anita Sarkeesian is a piece of crap that is using the hot button issue and her fake feminist ways to get the game community up in arms and laughing all the way to her YouTube bank. If we can...
People will complain for the sake of complaining. This is the reality of the internet, unfortunately. I wish this wasn't the case and the people who complain to get the attention and to make them feel as though they are somehow self-important and/or "cool" by jumping on a bandwagon would be called out for what they are, but they rarely do.
I think that, if the gameplay is good and whatever drives you to play the game (whether it be story, challenge, whatever) do...
"Dead Space 3's lack of sales is a perfect example of changing a formula of a AAA Franchise. This is why so many games like CoD,Uncharted, Gears, Halo, Mario, Metroid Prime and God of War will ALWAYS seem familiar from their predecessors because you NEVER change your formula to a great franchise. If it's not broken, then don't try and fix it."
The problem with this thinking, though, is that if you change too little about a second or third, fourth, whatev...
Do me a favor and go read the comments that I'm referring to: http://n4g.com/news/1182964...
You'll see why I even made this to begin with!
Having PS3 BC on a PS4 might not be as easy because look what putting full PS2 BC did to the PS3. Remember the 599 US DOLLAR fiasco? Part of it was because there was full PS2 hardware inside the PS3 in addition to PS3 hardware along with everything else they included in it. It was a beast, but at the same time, took them way too much money to make. Selling it at 599 the way they were, they would have to sell the higher end version of the system AND five games just to break even on one system ...
But it might bother me.
I have a LOT of music that I can transfer, as well as a LOT of CDs. Now, if I really had the patience, I could take the CD, put it onto my hard drive on my computer, hook up the PS4 to my Wi-Fi or wired connection, find where the thing is on the network, then transfer and hope my connection doesn't fuck up, or that I can do a ton of moving my USB drive back and forth, deleting songs I had put on my PS4 before getting the next batch I want.

If you think the "pro" gamers on Steam are bad, you should see how it is on WoW. Good lord, every single time Blizz does the littlest thing to make things a tad more tolerable, you get every elitist out there whining about how they are ruining the game. You can't make one request to fix a bug or anything like that without someone thinking that everything should stay how it is, or that the game is "too easy" now (it never was; Blizz just learned that leaving a lot of bu...
Probably because too many articles do troll or flame bait. Obviously the FoD one wasn't, but many articles on N4G are just ridiculous.
And let's not go on this thing that Sony fans are the only ones guilty of that. There are rabid fans of any console. I've seen articles critical of MS, PC, and Nintendo getting the same treatment. Thing is, you're seeing fanboyism as a whole get bloated because of the added cesspool of the internet. Good lord, you should've...
You guys DO realize that Funny or Die is a comedy website, right? They do things for the sake of getting some laughs. Nothing more (and they do a pretty damn good job of it). It's not to be taken seriously, yet somehow it is, anyway. They're parodying the people who are posting the baseless FUD articles to begin with.
Perhaps it's because the people who are acting like they don't know what comedy is on here are just trolling because they know that it's get...
Good lord, the amount of stupidity on this site astounds me at times. How, after so many people actually said that this is a parody article made by a website that is known for a big or acting like they are carbon copies of Nancy Grace?
Seriously, people, I thought it was pretty funny and clever. Some people just don't have any sense of humor, I guess.
I think they should save things for E3. It would be dumb to show all their cards right now. It is strategy, and there is competition that might be thinking of what can they do.
Even if MS debuts a new console at E3, they would have to take most of that conference telling us what is in the thing such as hardware, social capabilities, and the like that Sony did on Wed. Sony already has that info out there, so they can go into other detail about the system and launch titles at E...
You didn't see some of the comments I did when the whole thing went down. People were asking why should Sony inform us when to expect some stability or even what the problem was so we could take necessary action.
Personally, too, I'm fine with the sentence. The guy didn't murder anyone, and there's no reason to equate him with that of a mass murderer. Especially when that person was something that many companies hire regularly to make sure their systems are as...
